Some of the combat looked awesome, but the screenshots provided in the post earlier looked very current-gen.

Sorry mate I really don't know. But I'd imagine they'd shut them off as "Currently Unavailable" if they're completely out of stock from what I've constantly seen ordering stuff on there.
Usually they'd keep people ordering when they know they have more stock coming in.

For anyone around here that's from Spain, Media Markt is taking pre-orders, I'm now a loud and proud owner of a PS5!
Now, a couple of thoughts on yesterday:
-When it comes to the meat and potatoes, the games, I cannot be happier with what was shown yesterday, I'm excited to play a lot of stuff and that GOW tease was something I was not so sure to expect, and it hyped me up.
-The business side of things; this one's a bit trickier. Of course, the whole cross-gen debacle is being blown a bit out of proportion, they clearly stated it's just three games, but, Horizon? Yeah, that's a doozy. I could expect it from Miles Morales, not from Horizon. And all the "generations" talk is now deluded to an extreme as a consequence. It's not a good look for Sony and that's not something that can be denied. And, what was also a downer, is the price point for PS Studios games in Europe. 80€ is quite a lot, and I for one, am reconsidering the idea of keeping on the route of these last couple of years of buying all digital. It's not that I cannot afford it, I am fortunate enough to be in a good position economically speaking, but it feels like a tad too much of a price point. That's going to be a bummer for a lot of people, and honestly, it kind of takes away from those 100€ difference between the physical and digital versions of the console. Ultimately, digital is going to be way more expensive with those game prices, so not that good of a deal.
All in all, I'm pretty excited for what's to come, as I said, I'm already a PS5 owner, and I look forward to purchasing a Series X, probably a little bit more down the road, when they start putting out Everwild, Avowed and all that good stuff they teased.
Oh, and by the way, not gonna lie here, given the price bump on PS Studios games, Gamepass is better value than ever, so honestly, kudos to Microsoft for keeping that in place for their first party stuff. I'm still way more excited for Sony first party when it comes to the games themselves, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Microsoft is offering a killer deal in that regard.

I agree too. I think the difference will be very negligible. Thing was that we were talking about engineering. And that Microsoft was able to put so much in such a small box is very good engineering. But apparently that's a trigger for some people.

I expected Sony to release some kind of "PS4 Super Slim" or "PS4 Pro Slim" and sell it for $199 official and regular sales dips into the $149 area
With the 7nm technology it should be dirt cheap to manufacture and they probably could do that price, throw some games and some months of PS+ in and still break even.
No idea why they have not announced anything like that yet. It would give that platform a few more years, especially in poorer regions of the world. Until they can "slim down" the PS5...

They are making a pack with Spiderman PS4 remastered and Miles Morales. My guess is that it will be upgradable, since there's no standalone remaster. They may charge for the upgrade though, no confirmation, but the pack seems to be aimed at people that don't have the original.

I reckon a slim ps4 pro would be on the cards to reduce production costs and have a cheap 4k output console.
Price it at $249USD and I imagine it will sell quite well. The only thing Sony would need to be careful about is not cannibalising their PS5 console sales.

Just read the WP article on PS5 and it looks like SM: MM and HFW were built from the ground up for PS5 first and then ported down to PS4.
The way this is being worded, I think we still might see flying mounts for HFW on the PS5 version but not the PS4 version (obviously). I really wanna see some HFW gameplay running on PS5 vs PS4. One other thing this is telling me is that the PS4 ports are gonna look like absolute dog shit.
