Ok so i watched the Kingthrash video.
I will give my honest thoughts on it.
I don't think it was his best work, especially going back to the older stuff, the video is just way too long. i think it's better to break these types of things down into smaller more manageable bite-sized bits.
In regards to digital foundry I will try to say this in the nicest possible way. I personally believe he is on to something in regards to them and Microsoft, i think there definitely is some sort of partnership or pro quo going on there, however, proving it is near impossible.
I remember watching the ori and the forest 2 video they put out before the patch, the games frame rates were disgusting, i mean there were dips down to the lower 20s, this is a 60 fps game i think, they were so blase about it. I remember watching a video for PlayStation a week later, i can't recall which one but in that, a ps4 game drop like 3-4 games and they said it was unacceptable. they really hammered that game to pieces. There seems to be such a big difference in standards, one made sony look bad the other avoided or glossed over something.
Another issue is where they had another video coming out explaining why halo looked like it did, the whole lighting thing, that to me was way beyond the call of duty, what was going on there. Just like the Eastwood video why the hell is digital foundry making excuses like that. It just does not sit well with me, at all.

said today i wish they would disclose who or what their ties are with these companies, but i don't they won't.
I want to believe that digital foundry are legit, 100% unbiased, but we have seen the way Microsoft is, that woman had 7 fucking consoles in her cupboard, she is not even a games journalist, what lengths would Microsoft go to please the premier go-to games analyst channel on the planet. I hope i am wrong, i seriously do but i have major trust issues with them.
all i know is i have a bad gut feeling about this, something stinks and for once its not me.
