Honestly as long as the system is cool and quiet I can understand why they went with that size. I don't think the size will bother many people to be honest.

Maybe when it has been slimmed down. There isn't much value owning one out the gate. I'll do the same thing with Xbox as well. Not to mention neither of them will have next-gen exclusive games that will be worth the price of admission. I have a PC, PS4, and Switch that will satiate my gaming needs during launch and beyond. By the time I get either one, the games will be cheaper.

And this is estimated, not to mention they removed the XBSX base.

The PS4 Pro specs are also wrong there. It 11.6" tall not 12.9". The PS4 Pro is 12.9" deep when standing.
And they photoshopped that image poorly, to make the 11.85" Xbox Series X and 11.8" Xbox One X both look shorter than the 11.6" PS4 Pro.

Sounds like you made up your mind up a long time ago, today has been a fantastic day for the ps5, if having those load times, great thermals and no noise did not sway you it seems you did not really have any intention of getting one no matter what you saw today.
Why don't you just move along then and stop trying to dampen the thread for other people that are happy+ excited about the console?

Alex will keep on deflecting and downplaying PS5 the whole gen, but he will get embarrassed over and over again for it.....He is just digging his own pit. He knows nothing about RDNA 2's RT and rasterization performance, but he knows PS5 will slot into 2060S territory when RDNA is 60% more performant per watt on a new node with 20% IPC improvements. Funny enough, the console which had no hardware RT according to Alex is now on par with a hardware RT Nvidia card. The spins and only the lowest common denominators for PS5.....This guy is going to have a hard 7 years when he sees what PS5 is producing.
Do you also see how he constantly brings up the lower resolution reflections in PS5 RT games, but at least PS5 games have RT Alex, which you denied for the longest time.....Of course, when the devs get more experience and optimization in, I'm sure they will increase the rez there too in future titles....
PS5 is much stronger than a 5700XT, 5700XT is stronger than a 2060S and on par with a 2070S, but Alex believes PS5 is only 2060S tier.....I sometimes believe Alex just says these things to get people talking about him and getting the conversation around DF.....It's like you follow him just for the insane things he will say....There is no way Alex believes what he says, Right? Anybody can do the math, why can't a tech and PC guy do the same. All the specs are there....

PS5 will fit on most spaces where series x will fit, but series x wont fit all spaces ps5 will fit, because it is so fat. and ps5 wont fit all spaces either, but it is peoples fault if they buy bad furniture that are designed by people whom dont understand anything about what they are doing.
Like would anybody buy a car which cant fit a human inside? then why they are buying tv stands that cant fit equipment + have airflow? because they are morons like those designers.
xbox is definetly too fat to fit front of most TVs, PS5 probably fit on some like that.
both fit on good tv stands or on chair/floor etc.

Reflections look fine to me. And there are multiple effects being used. Ray tracing is even used for lighting and it maintains 60 frames

XSX should be aligned with PS5 on the edge on the table and camera put in the middle, not from side closer to PS5. Of course PS5 is now looks much bigger than it is.

Alex never said the reflections didn't look fine or weren't an improvement. He was just pointing out that the next-gen consoles were not going to match high-end PC settings for reflection resolution, etc. He was explaining some of the shortcuts and performance saving tricks that were being used to get things running on PS5. If you took your warrior glasses off you could see the DF video for what it was. It was meant to be informative, not to knock the PS5.

It's odd. We should wait for more details before making a decision but Richard did say devs were having issues with the Xbox GDK.

He was saying the RT quality looks similar to what can be accomplished with a 2060s at similar frame rates. That one aspect, not the entire GPU. Nvidia's RT hardware is good, it's possible that AMD couldn't match their performance. We'll see when RDNA2 hits PC.

The load times look absolutely phenomenal and they aren't final versions of those games, as things will improve literally up until launch(these seem to still be preview builds) with whatever Day 1 optimization patch they have.
I'm a bit concerned about the OS/UI shroud of mystery. We're 38 days from launch of the system. What is so secret that it is worth keeping a lid on this long?
What's changing for PS+ besides the PS4 Collection? What revamps and additions will be on PS Now? What does the Create button do that Share did not? How fast does the UI go from game selection to game play?
Lots of information still to come and the clock is still ticking away.

Where Microsoft decides to lock their clock does not determine if it is RDNA 2 so let's not do this. Console manufacturers have always clocked conservatively because they have 1 base constant clock speed. Sony went with a different design with PS5 akin to but not the same as PC boost clock.

The PS5 will be more powerful than a 5700xt, so will be better in rasterization than a 2060s. Maybe he is talking about RTX on situations only, there the 2060s might jump up a bit just due to the superior RT tech (if Turing's RT does prove superior to RDNA2).
