The console war is like Battle Royale.

My God, please, do you think we can all come together and agree to stop saying "FUD" every 5 seconds?
Does everyone recognize how stupid that shit sounds? I thought that died out like 15 years ago, but for some reason everyone is saying it again.
I was gonna get a PS5 anyway, but I'm glad its quiet. So on a serious question, after seeing the load times today, and the thermals and sound being beyond excellent for the ps5.
Are there any people that were on the fence and worried, have now decided to commit to getting a ps5.
I know the noise factor was a big issue for a couple of people, i just cant remember who it was, sorry i is old.
I won't lie, from me this is what i was hoping for so i am rather ecstatic but would love to hear from other people on the fence (DEFENCE great movie btw, if anyone knows where that comes from)
Please respond if your out there would love to know.
So you didn't clicked the other link I believe that shows how much you don't want ot be informed about it.That suit was ONLY about scratched disks, That's important. There were no suits about RRoD, I'm sure one of the reasons MS jumped on that issue so quickly was to avoid legal issues, along with trying to salvage the brand (which they did).
Got damn it!! They got Geordie they getting us 1 by 1. What did he do??
I figured it out. They still believe that Richard's RDNA1 tests of overclocking a 5700 in comparison to a stock 5700XT are relevant when it comes to RDNA2. What Richard did was see how close a 5700 could get to a higher CU 5700XT and it fell short but that's due to the limitations of the architecture at higher clock speeds. This didn't stop Richard though.
Another theory of mine is that they still believe PS5 to be 9TF. 5700 is a 7.9TF GPU (2060 class) and 5700XT is a 9.7TF GPU (2070 class). From what Alex is saying he thinks PS5 falls somewhere in between that which would land it conveniently around the 9TF mark which would be roughly a 2060S.

Right on. This is what I was talking about. DF has a clear agenda. It's a shame! But it's not a good argument. All traditionnal effects on consoles (even PC) almost always have a reduced resolution: lighting, shadows, SSR etc. It's not something new. RT on Minecraft running on XSX was also at a reduced resolution. Did they make a video just to talk about that? "the cost or RT on Minecraft", well no. Did they ever make a video about the "cost of shadows map and SSR" ?
This argument is only a console warrior argument. "It's RT but it's low res so it doesn't count."
They couldn't make a positive video for PS5 (because they are Xbox fanboys) so they found a way to make a video painting a slightly negative picture of PS5 hardware. Like they could have made a video about the impressive rasterizing power displayed of the GPU in the 60fps Spidey demo (8x more pixels pushed than PS4, >4x more than Pro, equivalent to 14.7tflops of GCN), well they didn't and they'll never make such a video.
But they actually did a few of those videos when it was about XBX in order to show how powerful the machine was.
More recently In their BC video with XSX they only showed a objectively modest improvement compared to XBX, from 1.5 to 2x better performance and they called it "extreme". So 1.5, 2x better than XBX is "extreme", but they refuse to even make a video about 4x better performance than Pro?

Very impressive.. loads at the speed of your thumb.
People tell me this will come very handy on Demon's Souls

Here's another link.
If you can't bother to check it then how can you talk about it ?
Edit : and another lawsuit
Effects like particles, smoke and things like shadows and reflection are rendered at lower resolution regardless of platform. Raytracing as currently implemented uses lower lod for their bhv. That is precisely what Alex set out to present in that video with examples from PC.Alex wasn't spreading fud about anything in regards to RT. And by the way, the gif you posted demonstrates the low res reflections Alex was talking about. LOL
I need to see how it looks on the inside. Damn it. I might be the only one who's getting so frustrated over Sony not doing any teardown just yet.I was gonna get a PS5 anyway, but I'm glad its quiet.
My launch PS4 became so loud after a year or two. Sony Airlines is very real lol. But I have the latest revision of the PS4 Pro (7200 model) and its much quieter. Sony figured their shit out eventually.
So that improvement and how Cerny talked about the fans/cooling, plus how much shit Sony got (rightfully so) for the PS4 fan noise, makes me confident Sony figured out how to keep the PS5 cool and quiet.
Too late for them. The world's coolest console is already sold outSo on a serious question, after seeing the load times today, and the thermals and sound being beyond excellent for the ps5.

Great So these lawsuit are OK because a big firm with tons of lawyer won ? I guess nestlé isn't killing people either?I don't count the cases that get thrown out on merit, no. Let me clarify, there were no settlements made or fines levied in regards to the RRoD, how is that. Other than the $1b warranty program, obviously.
We all want that ASAP, but it was always gonna be in November. Sony do their teardowns at launch. PS4 was Nov 2013, PS4 Pro was Nov 2016. We just gotta wait 4 weeks.I need to see how it looks on the inside. Damn it. I might be the only one who's getting so frustrated over Sony not doing any teardown just yet.
Lol yeah at this point people have until about March to make there decisions.Too late for them. The world's coolest console is already sold out
They were not aware of that issue before launch, no. Believe me, if they had known they would have spent the extra $5 to try and dissipate heat a bit better, much cheaper than the warranty program. Not to mention the hit to the brand overall.
You have to think of these things realistically.
There's multiple lawsuits and reports from journalists beside they should have tested thoses consoles and that about 50% failure weren't apparent to them ?I don't count the cases that get thrown out on merit, no. Listen who care about their warranty ?Are you happy that Nintendo repair your joycon or fucking pissed that they are still producing it ?I'm refuting the fact that MS knew about the RRoD issue before the console released. Which would be a crazy thing to think, especially with how quickly they responded to the issue once it was known. If they knew before launch they would have just gone with a 3yr full replacement warranty to start with and marketed it as a sign of how confident they were in their product (while secretly saving them a lot of bad press regarding the issue when it was first getting reported).
Is it normal for consoles in standby to get really really hot requiring cooling? To the point where it feels really hot, even after being disconnected? PS4 on standby is as cold as a brick, and that is way more compact than this (including the slim).
And thus we go right back to Ali Salehi's interview stating XSX can't access all it's CU's concurrently. And here we go again: talking about GPU starvation care of lack of data in the memory. THIS is what Cerny told us back in March: he wants the SSD to feed as much data as possible to the GPU's memory: he wants the CUs to never have to starve for data. THIS is a philosophical choice that is different from MS'.
He was accused of being ComeFromNearFuture alt? Didn't know the guy was Brazilian.IbelieveinGenerations was permed

Do you also think that Nintendo doesn't know about the joycon drifts?
And that happens also way before the 9 months period that you conveniently forgot. And do you think that when they test the console they just bring them home and normaly play ?They don't stress test everything possible? That's such a naive way of thinking. The truth is that the european lead free solder law fucked them and they just said fuck it.Failure that occurs 6-9 months after sale (sometimes years) might not be that easy to spot in QA, no. Once they knew about the issue, they had a hard time correcting it (Bach claims the issue wasn't completely corrected until the slim release).
D Deto the RRoD was ultimately caused by the flexing of the MB caused by the system heating and then cooling (which allowed the GPU or CPU to pop off the board eventually). HALT testing doesn't show things like that very well. The 360 didn't overheat in a traditional sense, silicone temps were within acceptable ranges. Plus, most of the 360 QA testing was done with lead based solder, that at the time resulted in a better initial set during the manufacturing process.

Did he really say DS is not impressive? I don't follow that guy and stopped watching DF videos altogether.
Besides that loading i really liked that clip from god fall, i actually felt that death lol,
game has grown on me.
That pretty LED
Great now the blue light bar will drain the console. Battery
