there are rumors that anaconda doubles as a server and has server parts on SoC, if true rumors of ps5 being 30% more powerful will be devastating for MS. they wont recover from it.
They already tried the Cloud and failed hard with that.

But let's looks at the truth... most gaming tasks are real-time, or in better words, without any processing lag... any Cloud processing has lag no matter how fast you are you will have lag unless we reach the instantaneous teleport we will always have lag using any Cloud processing.

So in game Cloud is really a feature not that useful... for more than I don't like Streaming I think that is a way better use for Cloud than tried to help the local hardware with processing tasks.

Crackdown 3 is the live example that Cloud can't help local processing.

Playstation 5 more powerful than the strongest Xbox console. Yeah great joke, they won't let that happen anymore after the Xbox One debacle, which they put right with the One X. Microsoft knows it's all about the raw power.

I wish folks like you would stop acting like the One X released same year with higher pricetag.

Edit: fixed my error, meant higher pricetag not same.

When you get a leak wrong, account seppuku is the only path to restore honor. Lest your house become reviled as all mock them, "Lulz. There are the descendants of benji, who disseminated UnVeRiFied PS5 rumors.🤫🤭"
Yeah.. you don't wanna end up like thuway being mocked by Statham, its better to an hero your account.
That article isn't very clear but did Benji actually claim that those obviously fake devkit pics were real? That's a serious blow to his credibility if he did and from that point everything he claims should be called into question.
No, that's the site own doing. Benjii tweeted 12.9TF
The reason he requested a ban had nothing to do with it, its related to the death stranding breaking records thread

Stop falling in the bait guys.

To be honest even if he tweet somethink like an answer about 'why' he leave I won't believe.
Maybe some guys above him are angry about his opinion. I mean, he is a analystic guy.

Even for a devkit, 64gb is a very expensive overkill.
Devkits go for thousand of dollars, its not unthinkable
It reminds me of RDR2 native 4K vs sub-4K.
CB4K looked like ass on pro though, would have preferred straight up 1440p

I wish folks likes you would stop acting like it all depends on the same release year to have the same specifications. Those things are planned years before. And the pricetag is a choice. Better hardware cost more money, if it isn't still obvious for you.

Plans can change. Even osiris said it about the pro leak. Go educate yourself.

The thing is both work with AMD and are handed similar options depending of price point and time frame. MS nor Sony can't guarantee being more powerful, they would have to know the competition target price and even then its not a sure thing without knowing how much of a loss they are willing to take. Releasing on the same year 15% gap its the most we could see, with that low margin it could go either way

Unless MS plans to release a $600 console or take a $200+ loss i don't see how they can guarantee the perf crown.
The next CoD will have RT, so this mean will be 'next gen ready'?
I think so, i really didnt expect to be blown away by COD of all games, it was a BF3 reveal moment for me
The engine change is huge, they'll likely made it with next gen in mind

Of course they are working both with AMD to get things done. But the deep pockets of Microsoft and the terrible lounge of the Xbox One, which cost their old executive his head, made them change their directions. From a media centric device to 2 devices. With one purely focused on the hardcore gamer. That strategic with the release of the One X got them back. And based on Spencer comments they know how important specs are for a lot of gamers. They got the pockets, engineers and resources to make the Xbox Anaconda a FLOP beast.

Even the ps4 was supposed to have 4GB RAM, plans can change. In fact there was nothing special about the X’s GPU over the Pro. So yeah plans can change, go educate yourself.
You're arguments are based on the "if" theory. It's a easy way to get out of your own crap statements, when you are completely wrong on that matter. Hey Sony is going to make a 16 FLOP console, but you know "plans" can change right. So no you should educate yourself, because you do need it.

In CoD favor making a new engine from the ground its not a easy job (just use UE as everyone in this gen, /s) and with RT support is a nice feat. I mean, maybe the next CoD will be the real next gen in every way, but while they still want to support PS4/Xbox One maybe they don't go so far we expected.

I feel like 11% more graphical power is significant. People overlock their systems all the time to get that extra power, and pull off an extra 6-8-10 FPS. 5-7fps overhead isn't insignificant at all when trying to lock a framerate down.
Tell you what though, if Xbox has the edge, Leadbetter will make sure to call it significant every time. If it's the PS5 edging it, he'll say they're similar.

That you're full of shit, if you want to educate someone, focus on your own education.

So you’re denying that plans can change when its a fact that it did change.

4GB ram went to 8GB thats a fact. Osiris even mentioned Sony had plans to up the CPU but they didn’t. Looks like you’re the one thats full of poop.

This makes no sense and what does Sony have? Cerny, top engineers, longer standing in gaming and millions as well. Stop talking as if Xbox has the whole backing of Microsoft, it does not. Gaming division is gaming and they all have their budgets and investors. At this point Sony is making both more revenue and profit on the gaming side of things and has millions upon millions to invest in gaming. Phil saying they will or want to be more powerful means shit just talk at this point like Microsoft has done in the past and disappointed (does kinect and Crackdown 3 come to mind?). Sony is just as inclined to have the more powerful console as Microsoft is and Sony has some smart motherfuckers working hard over there.

Bottom line is who has the most powerful console has nothing to do with money invested at this point because they both have millions to invest and have done so in R@D and engineering consoles. It has to do with timing, what price point each feels will win the gen at what power level. They both could come out later with Uber powerful consoles priced at 600 but both know the masses won't eat that up. It's a waiting and seeing game which both are doing.

Lol I brought this up before and got banned a week on reset lol. I remember when Sony had clear advantage and all of a sudden DF started talking about controllers, live versus psn and friends lists during their tech breakdowns to put Xbox in a better light lol

You need to read properly. First of all you really don't make any kind of sense. Learn comprehensive reading. Your comment was based on the release date and the pricing that made the difference on the One X. While it's not.

The fact is those things are planned years before. And it isn't (except for you) that hard to understand that better hardware cost more money.

Third; you don't seems to get that speculating with words like; "plans can change" doesn't make it particularly a strong argument, it's actually the opposite, very weak. Anyone can guess and talk bollocks like you do. They only need to tell others that their plan changed to get themselves a ticket out of shame. But that didn't work for you, because you're the only one here who is full of poop.

Umm yeah it is. I’m not the only one that mentioned it. But keep thinking to yourself it isn’t lol.

Than keep fooling yourself. The difference of the One X is the hardware, not the pricing or release date. Nobody wants to spend more money on a console while their rivals are selling theirs €100 euros cheaper. It's the overall package what let people buy that particular device.

The most powerful console will come down to the two different price points. Microsoft plans to release two, will be interesting to see if Sony does the same. When you spend $100 more on a console without any Kinect or Move its easier to have the more powerful console. Doesn't matter if its 30% faster or 1% faster it allows the advertising and head space of the most powerful console tag.

No doubt but you have to keep in mind AMD is the one who deserves praise for designing console APUs
Both Sony and MS will aim for the best possible specs at the time of release.

How high is ms willing to sell Xbox and for how much of a loss? The answer to those questions will determine how much more powerful it is.

You are not wrong but its a much smaller gap than we had this gen 40%

uhm... 16nm yields improved in one year that's why the RX580 and X GPU were able to target higher clocks
Price point helped to get the better cooling solution, 4GB extra of memory and a bigger APU.

I think MS made the right choice by targeting $500 with its premium console, Sony should have done the same. Premium consoles are for enthusiasts who will gladly pay the premium if the specs are worth it. The base consoles are for the mainstream.

I just saw Coreteks video on YT talking about Zen 2. We've heard and even seen leaked benchmarks of that 16 core Ryzen 2... but it wasn't announced. Still, AMD has a presentation at E3... maybe they'll show it there? Also... what if Microsoft somehow managed to get a 16 core Ryzen 2 with lowered clocks but thinking about those 32 threads? I mean the 12 core/24 thread is clocked at 3.8Ghz base/4.6Ghz boost and just 105w...

I think I might just be going nuts

You're full off it so you must love yourself alot isn't it.

Knock off your low effort posts that amount to just trolling, or a time out from the thread will be warranted.

As a reminder in here, preferences can be discussed without resorting to petty console warring.

Let's knock off the more blatantly petty console warring and get back to discussing spec speculation, etc..
