Nexbox needs to be more powerful than the ps5 inorder to compete. im talking at least 15-20% more powerful.
I agree that Xbox needs the power race more than PS. It won't happen though, not by 10% in best case scenario.

I hope any difference between the two is either slight or none, indeed.
What do you mean? Choose the one with the games you like the most.Idk, it was kind of nice in 2013 with such a clear cut choice. easy peasy. Now with have so much stuff in the mix...

Inside or not, I agree. Think it'll be revolutionary.
The only worrying thing about PC gaming is that only X570 motherboards offer PCIe 4.0 and these have their fair share of issues. You hit the nail on the head. It's the biggest game changer, pun intended, since... Well, ever. Having solid state storage in every machine and being able to tailor your game world around instant loading will change open world games forever in a way that can't be done on PC since you can't guarantee that all PCs use solid state storage. This changes games in a profound way like going from 2D to 3D did.
And yes, the graphics will be there as well, don't worry.

But I'm not talking about a conspiracy theory. I never mentioned it. I'm saying AMD benefited a lot from their collaboration with Sony and MS this gen, that saw them working together further for next gen, on Navi. The CPU and GPU they're using were designed under Chief Architects who left AMD and are now working for Intel along with John Sell, the Chief Architect of the Xbox Scarlett for fucks sakes. Does that mean impending doom for AMD and Xbox? Doesn't that sound like a dumb conspiracy theory?
Reality:
Imagine Elder Scrolls with no load times when entering a 2x2 room.
My friend, the whole crux of what I was saying revolved around the John Sell conspiracy theory. Zen and RDNA are already on the market. John Sell leaving for Intel after completing his work with Xbox is typical and means nothing. I don't want to split hairs over the meaning of "significant". I respect your viewpoint. But I'm not talking about a conspiracy theory. I never mentioned it. There focus literally needs to be solely on games. They are far behind the other two when it comes to their first party.Disagree. MS just needs to put a check in all the necessary boxes.
Games (Variety and Out of the Comfort Zone)
Stable Performance Metrics for both Frames and Resolutions
Open Platform to 3rd Party VR if the intention is not to create Xbox specific Headset
Engage Gamers with More Community Hubs (like Halo Waypoint) around their other IPs like Gears, Fable
Make Cortana the Platform's Official Assistant
Competitive Price Scheme
Keep Acquiring Studios (there's still room for growth)
I think there's a misunderstanding and I came in at the wrong time. You're taking about a conspiracy theory and Doom and gloom and giving examples, while I'm talking about a completely different point that tqaulity raised. My friend, the whole crux of what I was saying revolved around the John Sell conspiracy theory. If you'd like to hash out some of my other claims I'm more than willing. I invite you to discuss Reee-'s contradicting insider reports, which form the basis of most of the arguments here. For instance, Benji said 13TF dev kits, so people assumed 13TF Navi. Let's analyze that leak versus leaks from data miners and what we currently know about Zen 2 and Navi. This is something that has a provable outcome.
Nah mate.Disagree. MS just needs to put a check in all the necessary boxes.

As another user already put it, MS needs to focus heavily on games. It really is not rocket science. Gamers go where the good games are. MS unfortunately only happen to have 2 or 3 really good games and that doesn't make me want to buy an Xbox when i have Playstation staring at me with a plethora of high quality AAA titles hitting one after the other.
This is the biggest reason why i chose Playstation over Xbox when buying my PS4 Pro a few months ago. Now i am sucked into Sony's ecosystem owning over 100 games with damn near all of Sony's best efforts this generation.
but these SP experiences have been shown to sell consoles and games like crazy. MP games are fun and all but let that be the focus of third party. its been shown this entire gen that quality first party is what sells and SP story driven games sell. MS has lagged behind in this for the last 3 gens when compared to the othersI believe I put games at the top of the list. Lol
MS doesn't necessarily need to follow Sony's example of exclusives though. Certainly the number of games is imperative, but not the types. Sony's library is good, but it's still a 99.9% collection of 1P/SP experiences. Sure add a few SPs , but continue to develop the kinds of big MPs and cooperatives that made the platform popular with so many players.
PSErebus is the guy who revealed the release date of The Last of Us Part 2 before the official announcement, it's reliable but the best thing is to wait for the official release from Sony.Is that an official account or a fan one?

PlayStation 5 May Natively Play Older PlayStation Games; Console Is About The Past And The Future - Rumor
According to some interesting rumors, the PlayStation 5 may be able to natively play all older PlayStation games, which would be bigwccftech.com
Klee said there were still two major revisions to come in terms of dev kits. It's supposed to be based on the script of paper devs get from MS and Sony that outlines everything for what to expect of next-gen.
This isn't the 900P days though where resolution differences were instantly noticeable so a slight difference means nothing third party wise.
Proelite said:I'll say this. Fehu is definitely wrong. At least 1 console will have double digit TF GPU. None will have more than 20GB total ram.
chris1515 said:I will say the two consoles will have 16 GB available to devs and a maybe 18 GB or 20 GB of total memory.
Some devs are saying Scarlet and PS5 will get near to similar specs, so I can't confirm the first quote you mention. Not sure if guesses or actual info.
For now probably not because this is what AMD can offer for Sony.I just want to know one thing. Is it confirmed if the new PS5 will launch with the standard edition and the Pro edition? Or just one thing?

I guess I will wait and see. But I'm feeling that I'll need to double-dip.Nothing is confirmed on that front. If there are two versions, I am will to bet it is HDD size only, not performance differences.

Double dip?
Get them both. And I know what he means.
Explain? You mean buy both if there are two SKUs?
Well when I think double dipping I mean both game consoles. You don't need to purchase two SKUs for drive sizes.
Oooh, you mean Xbox4 and PS5?

I'm eager for word on if it'll play games at Pro patch levels, and will allow patching beyond what even the Pro can do, for PS4 games.
I've never been an early launch console guy, but if it just brings all your PS4 stuff along with it and upgrades them, there's just no friction to this generation this time, no waiting for a library to flesh out.
So this is double what zen 2 has right? Swore it came with 16mb standardVia Reee-, via Planet3dNow(German 3d site with user Bomby who interacts with Komachi's Twitter circle):

Its a bit confusing because is third generation of Ryzen, or Ryzen 2.
My mistake. Was Zen 2 I was talking about, but yeah. Its really confusing, but I guess the fault was the Zen +, with should be Zen 2 instead of Zen 1.5Zen 2.
Zen 2 is the third generation Ryzen (Ryzen 3). Zen > Zen+ > Zen 2.
Have the link for that?
