A device like that would obviously be streaming only. There are rumors that all games purchased digitally will be available for streaming on PSNow, something like this could be a reality with that model. Probably at $99 or $150. There are also rumors of a streaming only Xbox device that will be released after the console launch. Seems reasonable.

But i want to know your thoughts in a well balanced 4k 60 FPS system (yes RT can go take a dump, and it's not mandatory or something)!
Even if you think that we will have again mid-gen pros, to obviously compensate the minimum half harsed next gen systems.

IDK if there is an answer for new high budget games that will push things, assuming the games are not designed for xbox series gimphart..

it will probably be like it has always been: if you want high framerates and high resolution, you will need to spend money on an overpowered pc running games designed for much lower spec systems.

I think you might be talking about Cerny statements in a interview, back in 2016 after PS4 Pro launch, and that was for current gen games at native 4k not 60 FPS _ at least 8tf with the GCN GPUs of course.
Yeah, i'm with you, i would like to know to what people with more insight think of _ with what we know about the CPU, RAM, etc what's the minimum for a native 4k 60 FPS on next gen games.
Unfortunately the best we have wright now, on AMDs RDNA new gen for comparison, is the NAVI cards tests _ the 5700 XT can go up to 9.7tf at boost mode, and manages 4k 30 and even 60 FPS at some games. But those are testings of current gen games! And without RT! So how many Tfs we need for next gen more demanding games and with Ray Tracing at native 4k? Make your bets.

Utter rubbish. Casuals don't care and people on this forum will eat it up whenever it happens. As you will see the next hint that's given for a certain date.

People are upset there was no announcement about the reveal as they are convinced Sony need to let everyone know 2 weeks beforehand.

Maybe they do, but that still doesn't rule out a Feb reveal, just not the day everyone convinced themselves it was going to be.

I think if I was head of either the MS or Sony PR department I would spread as much disinformation and FUD about my upcoming product as possible to confuse the competition. Fake githubs? Sure! Dody 3D printed mockups? You got it! Blurry videos? Why not! Hell, I would probably have a competition in the office to see who could come up with the most batshit crazy stuff that the internet ended up believing.

I disagree. It was the start of 2020 and everyone excited and expecting a PS Meeting announcement same as 2013 PS4. Then the Godfall full trailer leak and everyone was talking PS5... it was the perfect opportunity.

This performance stuff that Carmack said (2x) could be close to the truth when DX9/10 and OGL were around byt I bet it isn't since DX11 (multithreading). And now DX12 and Vulcan pretty much closed the gap.

If Sony can generate so much hype over a logo they can generate a lot of hype over the actual console whether it is revealed in February or March.

It's almost as if you have only just joined.

Hype was at an all time high when CES was confirmed to have ps5. The logo reveal broke Instagram records. A few weeks later after that disappointment people are again whipped into a frenzy as someone claimed the press need to know 2 weeks before any event.

You think this thread won't jump 100 pages after the reveal actually happens.

I think we just need to agree to disagree on this one.
 
Is there a chance that at superbowl will be some kind of advertisement of PS5 with PSM date etc.? Or it was just a joke.
I don't like american football so i do not know if there is a point to watch it.
 
I don't see them putting forth the money for a Super Bowl ad. I guess they could and it'd certainly be interesting.

I feel something coming on 2-5, simply because of the significance of the date itself for 25 years of PlayStation. We all know the event won't be on 2-5, but mayhaps a SoP or Meeting date unveiling.

Again, that's a small tease, but just the teaser announcement video from 2013 was awesome back then. If a logo drove people nuts, a teaser like that will be a winner in this day and age, probably #1 on Twitter within minutes.

A long State of Play would be an interesting step for them to take, but I still feel there's going to be a meeting, just not when people expected it to be.

Unless you are in the US, you aren't going to see the US ads anyway. But Microsoft has something cooking for the bowl. So it's indeed worth it.
