I talked to a girl that lives in China (shes american) she hasnt been able to fly back to china and the city she lives in is no where near wuhan and she said her friends have told her there is no one even in the city everyone has been evacuated.

This thing might be worse than people think. I read an article that says they expect a cure for the virus in 17months...

Because of all this I think I'm going to drink at a bar that is owned by gearbox right next to their studio in frisco texas and I'm just going to talk to the devs at the bar and hopefully I can get some info on next gen.
Ah man I'm in McKinney I have a dev on my route I work, hope I seen him again and see what's up!

Everyone talking about high frames but I'd love to see what Sony can do with 30FPS.
Yeah me too, no matter how much power a machine can have, 30FPS will always have more advanced graphics, physics, AI, stuff on screen etc etc...like I wanna see what Horizon Zero Dawn 2 on PS5 will look like at 30FPS, it'll look way better than it running at 60FPS.

I believe we will have other solutions for higher framerate on next gen. There are already algorithms that can turn 30 FPS videos into 60 FPS ones. I mean we have checkerboard rendering which already is close to native resolution and there are already other shortcuts to get most out of a console. All that stuff will most likely not affect the power of the consoles too much

It's 80 a month for me for a gig (I don't have cable just internet) , no throttling, no data caps and uploads are just as fast as downloads and it's Verizon fios. I had spectrum with 400 mbs for the same price so I went back to fios, tht was a no brainer.

I pay $73 for ADSL 16Mbps + 1Mbps uploads while fiber optics availability are only 150-200m away from home.

Have you had any issues with burn-in with your OLED? Planning to upgrade my set this year, but after talking with a few people and seeing the RTINGS.com post about it I think I might pass on an OLED set becaus of the burn-in possibilities...so I was looking to do the Sony XBR-85X950H, but come to find out if won't have HDMI 2.1 :messenger_pouting: so my second set I am looking is the LG 86NANO90UNA which I hope come out good in the reviews, otherwise no TV for me this year...

Funny thing X900H will fully support so far from many sources:

RTings shows that if you play the same content for nearly 9000 hours, that's when you begin seeing issues. They don't expect most people to ever run into this issue. If you're a HUD heavy kinda gamer all day long with the same game everyday, then yeah, maybe not for you.

Had the C8 for over a year nearly 1800 hours and then just got the 65" C9 recently. Awesome looking TVs and I don't regret it personally.

That would piss me off so bad. Thankfully I live in an area where I get 200 Mbps down and 12 Mbps up for $49 a month.

They should make it available sooner than PS5, I guess. for the same amount of money, 28 Omani Rials (~$73 USD) should get 120Mbps download / 10-20Mbps uploads (not sure). 1Gbps is for 99 OMR (~$257 USD) for 5G but capped at 2TB. I'm not a fan of wireless anyway so I'll wait for fiber optics, used to offer 1Gbps for like 149 OMR (~$387 USD).

I pay $100 a month for 170-200mbps on cable internet.

Cox cable San Diego btw

I remember cable internet first came in around 2003? We were in Virginia at that time and had a cable internet.

Is cable and fiber optics the same though? Here they provided 1Gbps but they've pulled that plan, it was overpriced anyway at 149 OMR ($387). For that amount of money (35 OMR / $91 USD) I could get 120Mbps (uncapped, unthrottled), but waiting for fiber optics to reach my block probably within this year.

I pay $29 a month for 40 down, 6 up. I can go up to 400 down for about $100 but can't convince the missus. 40 down is fine for 1080p streaming and game downloads as long as I can preload before launch.

Naw so sorry to have discredited your argument about Ps3 being twice as expensive .. and instead showed that xbox 360 was more expensive and absolutely would have won worldwide if they had of been aggressive on price.

Move on ... make your prediction if you have the gonads.

Talking to you from a worldwide perspective, we don't even see Xbox ads, we only see Sony's. Worldwide most average people just refer to gaming as playing playstation. Xbox actually sounds more like a troll nickname on a chat roam or porn related. There is no person around here that won't know what Playstation is, no matter how old he/she is. There are Xboxes in some shops, just saying, most other shops just ditched them away as they were taking room with near zero sales.

Most youngesters and older ones when we see famous football players they always play on playstation. It's part of the culture. I can see Xbox making healthy sales in the US, probably in the UK as well. Just don't push your luck above that. :messenger_winking_tongue:

I watch 4K@30fps very smoothly on youtube with just 16Mbps, you can easily watch 4K@60fps on youtube. 16Mbps is not that bad though, but more power is always good!

I was wondering why those numbers looks very familiar lol I am from Oman too and using exact same package.

Same goes for the Xperia it felt like I was reading my own posts, anyway nice to have fellow Omani in GAF

Really getting antsy lately. Can't wait to see what Bluepoint is cooking up for the PS5 in particular.

And as always... hoping that Resistance returns. Come on, Insomniac :(

We will all be waiting until April at the earliest

And my gut tells me PS5 will be unveiled in June, around E3.
They'll probably wait until after Microsoft's E3 presentation. Not only for pricing but also so that MS can't flaunt with certainty that their console is roughly 25% more powerful than the competition. 😛

You are full of shit. Should be banned for these lies. Fuck this guy.
He didn't even say "I heard that" or "should". The dude totally said WILL.

There's no reason for him to still be around, but he's probably not going to come back now anyway.

If the Lockhart is $150 cheaper .. and plays all same games at 1080p60 vs 4k 60 ... it will be the best value by far. It will outsell the Playstation in total sales ... but you can believe whatever you want.
The mistake in this equation (imo) (1080p 60 VS 4k 60) is thinking that Sony has a commitment with 4k. How Lockhard will handle if PS5 go to 1440p in some most demanding games? Instead of wasting all its GPU power in a nonsense native 4k race, focus in fucking brutal graphics at 1440p 60?

Sony is not Microsoft, and do not have any parity agreement with Lockhart.

I agree that Lockhart can be enough for some players but I also think that it can bring some problems to Microsoft keep Xbox Series X competitive against PS5, if it can't go below 4k to avoid to hurt Lockhart.
