It says nothing about how it would run on series x. People act like Microsoft just threw in an ssd an called it a day. They have custom hardware as well(and no I'm not saying the Xbox ssd is as fast as ps5).
Maybe you are totally correct and it wouldn't be possible. But let's wait for actual confirmation and not make huge assumptions. It wasn't too long ago a lot of people thought ps5 was over 13 TF.

There's a difference between not possible without Sony's breakthroughs and this isn't possible on any other device.

Games will tell, just one more week for Sony, and 5-6 weeks for Microsoft to show us what they got.

That is a very good observation. But the way I see it those two were just using jumping on the PS5 UE5 hype and directing it to their system.

Twist the words however you want the full quote is :

So you guys read that and think "Man this mean Xbox series will do the same or better"?
Sometimes you just need to accept the fact that Xbox has the better GPU and Sony the better IO system.
Ans since this demo tailored for ps5 put a lot of emphasize on streaming ps5 has an edge.
If tomorrow Epic creates a demo tailored to Xbox series X it will probably emphasize on GPU and xbox will have the edge it is really that simple.

He's asking where he says it's not possible on any other system. It doesn't say that. It merely says that they couldn't show this without the breakthroughs Sony made. Who says Microsoft didn't make breakthroughs with their XVA to make it possible on the XSX? We just don't know.

The problem it does not matter casuals have read these type of headlines and wrote off the x as a last generation system. This is in the top 2-3 marketing efforts ever with game sharing video and the sadam Hussein trying to secure PS2s to power his missiles it so powerful rumour-75 million polygons per second ending Sega E3 frenzy. It's funny people can't appreciate the beauty of this. I guess it is the imagine of only big ugly American companies do this shit.

So now we are assuming that something sony did also applies to microsoft because it could ?I guess the ps5 becomes 12 TF because it could.
And my rtx 2080 identifies as a rtx 3080.

That's not what I said. I said we don't know, and we shouldn't assume it isn't possible. Which is what you are doing.

I can bought the argument of some high end pc can run the same demo but a XSX really even its high compress bandwidth is lower than the raw of PS5 ando also XVA when is a solution which can work similar to a high end PC but is so based in protocols and software than many of its features will be in PC this year.

Almost all devices can run UE5, only some of them which access to a good/normal SSD can run the a demo in some level of quality, until now we only know PS5 can
run it in that quality of assets (resolution is not quality) what about a super high end PC with a ssd pci 4 probably but we are not sure.... but man a XSX running in that quality ?

I'm actually happy of that's true. Because since it's a standard feature in the controller developers will be able to take full advantage of it.

Plus it's consumer friendly because you don't have to buy another controller or accessory to have access to back buttons.

To be honest standard back buttons would be a system selling feature.

I have a bias for Xbox, so I'm looking at it with optimism. I believe that their might be a possibility that the UE5 demo can't run the same way on the Xbox as it did on the PS5, but I hope it does. And as long as I don't see an industry professional claiming that this isn't possible, or Epic releasing tech specs of the demo (which they won't) I believe XSX might also be able to run it. And I don't agree that it's an assumption without a base. When Microsoft says that 100GB of assets is instantly available via XVA, why would I not believe them? Of course we don't know what they mean by "instant", but I'm and optimist so... 😊

I'm saying that the breakthroughs Microsoft did on their end with XVA might also get the same result, but we don't know yet. Let's just wait for the games, in a couple of weeks/months we'll be able to compare launch titles, and in 1-2 years we can really compare first party studios that had some time with these consoles. Good times ahead!
 
The flash being described as "close" to the processor is talking in terms of latency from request in API until in working memory.
It's common to use proximity to describe how long you need to wait for data.
A big reason for using fixed function hardware accelerators is to reduce latency.

We're talking about MS here, the people that touted Smart delivery as something new when it is just cross buy and already exists on ps3/vita/4.And yet they have a secret formula to their SSD to help mitigate a 120% difference.
That's delusion for you.And assumption based on nothing because literally nobody said that MS had something better than Sony's ssd.

Hardly anyone here (that I'm aware of) is saying that the demo can't run on series X...that's insanity. It can run but that under the tech analysis microscope, the results would more than likely differ from the PS5's.

Sony did not promote this PS5/UE5 tech demo on its own official channels but then you see people from MS like Phil Spencer claiming "his share" and promote it on twiiter :)

Some of you may have missed it but there's some words after demo that are important and change totally the meaning of that sentence.It's like words have meaning and forgetting some of them would alter the message sent.
