nah, MGSV is a last gen game running at 30 fps on last gen consoles, and 60 fps on current gen consoles.

and no, it doesnt look as good as Halo Infinite. everything about MGSV is last gen. From lighting to foliage to material quality. Please dont make me defend Halo Infinite. thats like defending Hitler.

It seems Spiderman Miles Morales will have a 4K\60 fps option. Even if ends up being the first Spiderman upscaled, you got a FAR better looking game than Infinite.
All PS4 exclusives on PS5 will look better than Infinite, even open Worlds. The fact that they are last gen is even worst for Halo. And if Horizon 2 has any 4K\60 fps mode... oh boi.

Hey so help me out... does anyone know of any game for PS5 or XSX that has shown the following?

1. Gameplay. Real gameplay, not just like 2 seconds.
2. Native 4K resolution @ 60 FPS
3. Ray tracing

Because Gran Turismo 7 has PS5 gameplay that is native 4K @ 60 FPS w/ RT (acording to DF.)

That's the only game I can find from either Sony or Microsoft events that has all 3 (congrats to Polyphony.)
But I'm sure I'm missing other games, right? It can't be the only console game to show 4K60 w/RT gameplay?

Fair enough, I was just curious. I know it doesn't matter. It's just that it's sorta like the ideal next-gen target right? 4K60 w/ RT gameplay. It's just interesting to see which games do it. No worries though. I love my 30 FPS PS4 games.

I just realised something Phil Spencer is the ultimate PR guy and Sony need to hire him. The we believe in Phil comments are like a cult.

But let's look at the facts. Microsoft made something that's a negative and made a pro PR spin.

They promised all their first party games will be cross gen any no one will be left behind for the first 2 years.

This sounds great, until you realise he said that because he doesn't have any games that's been developed that will make the first 2 years. Everything was a CG trailer. He has Halo Infinite which was originally made for Xbox One and moved over, Psyconauts 2 and Grounded which the studios were making already before they bought them.

That demo is most likely running on PC, not XSX. We have basically no clue how anything runs on XSX apart from Gears 5 (if even that was true and not another "representative specs" situation, I'm willing to say at this point).

I seriously do not think Bungo wants corporate overhead again without serious conditions that would need to be met which would then probably deter most corps. interested in them.

I kind of want Sony to moneyhat Bungies D3.

These guys have fantastic artistic value (world design/lore, sound design, gunplay, fairly well balanced PvP). They marketed D1 as this huge explorable world - while it was pretty big.

I think they were really held back by HDDs. With PS5's asset streaming I think they'd finally be able to realize their original vision. (Also think the audio guys, would LOVE Tempest Engine).

Regardless Destiny at 4K/60 will pull me back in. But I do hope they get rid of the Fomo attitude... Im sure thats an Activision play and I dislike it very much (I dont mind grinding...).

What worries me the most :
-Sony showed first party and third party running on their hardware
- Ms showed last gen loading times in backcompatybylity! They even didnt show halo on XSX,

I think Phil got greenlit way too late, to be able to push for any kind of meaningful (short term) results... Im pretty sure midgen XSX will be in a much better place. But by than most hardcore console gamers, will have already invested in their preferred systems and those are the ones that pull in casual gamer friends...

Hes much more enjoyable to watch/hear when discussing retro pc games with John. I agree that watching him cover Playstation, always turns the mood sour. Wish it wasnt so, for his, DF's and the viewers sake

If Sony has somehow upped hard specs to narrow the performance gap, or has RDNA3 tech built in, could be even worse for Microsoft.

With a mixed bag of powerful specs, held back by a desire to push an ecosystem it looks, by and large, folks want as an option, not as something that prohibits true next gen experiences.

I wish someone could confirm a game running on the X series, it's a legitimate question ...
we had two presentations from Microsoft and in all two both the developers and Microsoft itself confirmed that what you are seeing is running on the PC!
Digital Foundry himself says he saw gears 5 and Minecraft running on the Series X but I ask again it will not be like in all these demos and video an expectavel gameplay ..
seriously I just wanted every Xbox fan to imagine this situation there otherwise ... yes imagine Sony with the "weakest" console running everything on the PC to show us, what would be your reactions ...
I still say more, when analyzing Sony Digital Foundry event, it went straight to the point how Gt7 use checkboard for Ray Tracing and the absence of some items in Rachet and Clank, and I ask where did they see Ray Tracing in the Microsoft presentation? if it was in Forza it was in engine ... and even worse in Engine on the pc?

He is usually biased towards Xbox and PC hence why I think he wouldn't make up info which works in favour of the PS5, as far as I'm aware he was the one who leaked the the PS5 featuring customisations found in RDNA 3 and Zen 3.

There are some other leaks too which he's been sorta right about. However I cannot remember them of the top of my head.

I honestly don't believe they bumped up the specs since it's to late for that. And I also believe that RGT will just repeat some of the things that Moor's Law said. That's my prediction.

I can believe in better yields however I don't think Sony would use them for a spec bump. What they will probably do with that is have the ability to make more PS5s than before. This should improve supply.

So yeah, even if we got some cinematic looking trailers like Horizon, Demon's Souls, Pragmata etc., it seems they were capture in real time. And a lot of them had snippets of gameplay (Spiderman MM, Returnal, Kena, etc.) or were full on gameplay trailers (like Deathloop and Ghostwire)

With Sony there is no question what system the game has been captured on though. I think Xbox should just say we release on PC so we are going to show it on PC. They need to stop with this Power narrative though...it's no good to brag power if the lower system looks better lol.

In a scale from 1 to 10 (where 1 is Roberto "I'm only human" Serranò and 10 is Jason Schreier), so far I give him a 6/6.5. Depending on what he has to say today and how true it will turn out to be, that number could go either up or down quite dramatically in the future.

i didnt see any forza gameplay tho.

It was pre-rendered trailer cutscene running at 24fps. Watched it in 4K@60fps. Even cars aren't running in real-time at 24fps as the movement is extremely floaty.

- Ram speed increase
- Slight CPU upclock (circa 200/300 MHz)
- *wild swing for the fences* 2 more CUs enabled due to high yields of these RDNA 2 waffers

theoretically only the 1st would have an impact of price
