I just didn't see it in the presentations of either console tbh.
I did, R&C gameplay would be intolerable if we had to wait for long loading between the jumps. Demon's Souls remakes to me looks a generation ahead of Dark Souls 3 as well in terms of visuals and DS3 can't even get close to 60fps on the PS4 Pro. Horizon looked much better and it wasn't just resolution that was responsible for that.

I'll take what I saw this time over what we got with PS4 like Knack, Killzone, Infamous and Driveclub.

They absolutely had to scale back their skin rendering. There is a scatter function when doing SSS that allows you to compute successive iterations for getting a much better light scattering approximation. It's very similar to Newton's bisection method in numerical analysis. Think of it like anisotropic filtering where you can get more accuracy by expanding your search on a per texel basis. Using a high iteration number during cutscenes gives excellent results to skin rendering. In gameplay, however, you have to reduce that iterative count. The guys at ND did this for their characters in TLoU2. Some games will still use a fairly large scatter term like Cyberpunk. You can see it in the gameplay vids. CoD and some other FPS games keep the skin rendering high.

Maybe they have plans to do a next gen version down the line. The devs did say they will be adding content to the game over the coming months.

I don't know with EA if something smells good is not 9/10 not so good and if smells bad is even worst most of the times.

Things like Titanfall 2 and the last Jedi Fallen Order are so weird to see than are closer to be miracles .... well I think is just because Respawn did both far

Welp, Halo Infinite (cross gen) will finally be unveiled in about 5 days. What will be the excuse if it ends up looking better than any game shown at the sony event?

Also, nothing at the sony event wowed me. Most of them looked like cross gen games that could easily run on a PS4 with downscaling of effects,loading etc.

Give it up, nearly 2 weeks later and you're still on that hill. Both systems are going to be great.

Where did i say they wouldn't? Simply stating Halo Infinite is cross gen and doesn't reflect XSX power. Also stating a simple fact that XSX is more powerful than PS5. There is nothing to give up. And nice alt account, bro.

HZD2 has a certain style so maybe it's more difficult for people to see a difference.. but it is the most impressive character models yet as I see it

Nobody is arguing it doesn't since we haven't seen gameplay yet. The arguement is that what was shown, is cinematic cutcenes and not gameplay.

But doesn't Horizon 1's cutscene models look the same as the gameplay ones even if they are slightly lower poly?

Because all the cinematic cutscene that we saw is on the same fidelity level as all the other cutscenes in current gen games. HZD2 has a beautiful aesthetic and art style about it, but that's a purely subjective observation. HZD1 also had the same art style just in a different location.

But artstyle can cloud your judgment. And I don't agree. Show me current Horizon with fidelity on the same level as the underwater scenes in Forbidden West. There's nothing even close

There are no underwater scenes in the original Horizon. How can you compare? That doesn't mean it can't be done on a PS4.

You haven't seen the Hellblade 2 trailer, especially the facial detail and facial animations

I have. But it was at 24fps so I can't consider it really viable yet.

I mean, It really depends what you are looking for. Digital Foundry said it better, Sony aims to sell their games to people looking for "glamour" and to push visual boundaries, that's why they target graphics over fps.

Glamour? Thts disgenuos. Sony also has some of the most polished, fun games I've ever played, it isn't just about glamour thy have the whole package. I don't listen to shit DF says I've been gaming for 30 plus years so I know why I prefer those games, thy are just more my taste and fun to me.

You can put a glamorous coat of paint on state of decay, recore, crackdown 3, etc and thy still mediocre.

Yup, it's Sony XH90 (X900H, X90H, XH9000 depending on the market). It's now the best value for HDMI 2.1 with one of the best picture quality, color, motion, upscaling as well for LCD's. Me and my older brother are getting one each.

Is the X950H a newer or higher end version of the X900H? These model numbers and all the differences..... Dont' know what I'm looking at! :messenger_winking_tongue:

You don't need that with PS5, you don't need LOD's to begin with. This is only with PS4 and ancient architecture. Same character model will be used with either on PS5 and it's more size efficient as well.

You're not understanding the context. The "glamour" reference is in response to Sony 1st party prioritizing graphics over performance. Hence why there are zero PS4 1st party titles that target 60fps, where as MS Halo 5/Gears 5 target 60fps.

That's not true. FS2020 is doing several new tech that hasn't been done before.
 
I don't know. It might but the game was designed to cull out the heavy features from the PC version. It was designed to agnostic platforms.

I will answer that. It is coming to Xbox One. Btw, I agree with you, Flight Simulator is going to look way different on PC than it will on Xbox One. Higher res texture, framerate and resolution. That is next gen. It will look photorealistic on PC but not on Xbox One.

HZD2 on PS5 would be a completely different game than on PS4 in the same way. How can we even argue with this when the CPU difference is so big?

Go do a camera close up of the suit, then turn photo mode on

The visual fidelity of the suit doesn't change

Because the graphics engine hasn't shown any milestones. In fact, no game has except ray-tracing and the techniques in the UE5 demo. That's just a fact.

You might get higher resolution and different landscapes and better texture filtering than the old 4x. You will probably get higher res textures and maybe better FX rendering.. but it's not something we haven't seen before in other games. That's my point.
 
When all else fails rely on flight simulator, a game dependent on your connection, shown on high end pc and will be all over the place in terms of graphics due to its dependence on streaming and bandwidth. You've heard it all on here smh.
