Like Grubb said, pre-orders, price, etc. will probably come on a blog post since these things are far from set on stone. If Sony really wants to go after MS, they can post on PS Blog 15 minutes after MS say their price lol

That's not how business works. They have a strategy and these things have to be planned ahead. Also an event for the price and pre-orders is more impactful than a blog post.

I agree... No WAY this could be reality...unless they were using full ray tracing or something. Then would be the equivalent of the XSX Minecraft raytracing demo that was mostly 30fps and less. Other than that...I call full BS on this claim. I mean, the PS4 PRO can do 60fps @1080 no problem and some games 60fps with the checkerboard 4k. No way the PS5 would do less.

For a game that was launch with only 5 characters the game had a lot of hype and excitement around it, and tbh i'm not sure about sales but i think it did good enough, i heard one time it reached one million copies sold of season 1 but not sure about this.

Makes sense. Was definitely a cross gen game until recently. Poor frame rate performance would be a good reason to ditch last gen.

Correct. It was Double Helix that developed it and then Iron Galaxy took over for season 2 because of the sale.
But funnily enough, Iron Galaxy was actually first choice to develop KI but were too busy at the time.

Yeah.. take everything "insider" with so much salt it would kill you. It sounds very plausible, but honestly, hell, at this point, I have given up news regarding their events. At some point, it'll happen, but, this is all just ridiculous. No, it's not likely to make people not order or buy whichever they were going to, but, it's also really crappy to do to your customer base.

I've always assumed Sony and Microsoft could wait til September to announce price, date, and launch pre orders will open a week after. Apple does it like that. They have an event usually 2-3 weeks before launch, give dates and prices, then open up pre orders 1 week after the event. And since 2019, Sony is following Apple's approach of now selling their hardware directly to customers from their own site.
Sony marketing guy already said they will give fans plenty of warning to get a pre-order. And we all have know this console was coming this fall for over a year now, so everyone has had plenty of time to plan ahead. Same with the Xbox.

Yeah Apple proved you can literally break records for "things being pre-ordered" by announcing a product's existence the day before pre-orders are available, within a few weeks of the product actually shipping.
Doesn't mean every product will have the same success, but it proves at the very least you can have enormous success with very short windows between the marketing of a product and it's availability to the public. It's not about "surprising" people; people know a new Apple phone is coming... it's about concentrating their marketing while people are paying the most attention, and making people feel like they'll be missing out if they don't pre-order ASAP.. and it works.
Just because consoles usually announce price 5 months ahead of time doesn't mean they ever really HAD to do it that way, and they are somehow losing out on sales by waiting longer than usual. In the end we'll probably get this information with 2+ months to spare... and we'll sit around waiting to be able to actually use the damn things anyways lol
