I've like to excuse myself for that behavior, but to me is so f*crazy that a multi-billion company can F* two console launches in a row, HAVING ALL THE TIME OF THE WORLD TO DO SOMETHING GREAT.
This is the type of thing that make Sony confident enough to simply stop supporting ps4 controllers, because, "Hey why not? MS is our competition and Do you see how the shoot themself in the FOOT EVERY SINGLE TIME"

How is Sony in any better position with this launch?. Less powerful console, BC that is up in the air about what we will get, and will certainly be worse than XSX BC. It's unfortunate that the Forza game got delayed or is taking longer than usual. T10 generally spits those things out like clockwork. They've already taken a year longer than usual, XSX could have really used that.
Plus if there was a team that could hit the X1 and still do great work on XSX it's them, they appear to be great optimizers.

Bolded are the things that don't matter at all to consumers. Also the SSD talk has had more benefit than the power talk on the MS side. The UE5 demo was the most talked about and it was all about super fast storage. All we got from 12TF is a gorilla.
The rest is not true. Spiderman is bigger than Halo just compare the sales.

What's to counter? The less powerful console stuff is debatable until we make some actual comparisons between 3rd party titles, the BC of the PS5 may end up fucking the Series X's in the ass, the SSD talk is proven to be awesomesauce based on the Ratchet gameplay trailer, and the launch up being worse is horseshit on your part considering not a single Series X game will be unplayable on the X1X.

Of course not, both are first parties open worlds which share a similar market one will be the first
AAA game next gen title with all the worlds, the other is the biggest IP delayed for look better, the average age
and income of its market is very similar.
You don't need to be the same genre for be a competitor just share market, for example if someone
release a game the same day as Pokemon is almost as suicide doesn't matter if that game is Spiderman.

- First, you don't even know how BC works on PS5.
- Second, SpiderMan alone is one of the greatest exclusive Sony can use to release a new console, especially because it might not even be $60 dollars, and is a proven DEV that is behind, so don't expect big issues with it.

The power difference is nt debatable, its fact, and will be proven by the comparison vids at launch (and i cant wait to see the salt). BC could end being great on PS5, we just dont know yet. We DO know that its already great on Xbox. The SSD talk and hype was unwarranted with 1 game on either console actually using SSD's in any impressive way (Rachet and The Medium). And how is the launch line up 'horseshit'?. Go look at Hobbygamings thread he just did with the probable launch titles for both consoles. They are 70% identicle with multiplatform games, and the 4 or 5 first party games on both are very comparable in potential quality, with personel taste being the major factor.

I think people are curious to see how big or small the difference will be. Hopefully the two are close though. We certainly don't want either system to be vastly more powerful than the other otherwise they could hold each other back.
We need a strong base if you know what I mean.

I think it was a good idea if its gameplay related. If its purely over the graphics, i wouldnt of delayed it.
I have said many times that i havent even played Halo 4 or 5 as it was around Halo 4's release when i went PC only. And yes i used to be a huge Halo fan, but that has obviously waned (although ben reignited a bit with MCC launching on Steam). AC Valhalla, Scorn, and The Medium have been my 3 most wanted next gen games, and i have said it multiple times.

XSX after it was announced tempted me because of what a next-gen Halo might look like, and because of Flight Simulator (a bit niche but I loved them as a kid).
I think we're many years away from an XSX targeted Halo title—and infinite doesn't seem to be made with any confidence or passion—and I'm now thinking Flight Simulator will end up having better peripheral and modding support on PC so I should save (waaaay) more than what XSX would cost and go that route instead.
After seeing the new Xbox controller and its packaging it's also hard to feel as if XSX is much more than just another iteration in the same Xbox One family. Same stuff with more resolution-per-frame/second.
It's just not giving me that new toy/tech base-of-the-peen' fizzing feeling that other things have in the past. It doesn't feel like "next", or that a minimum bar of entry has been raised with it. At least not yet anyway.
I also don't feel as if new generations are anti-consumer, or PS5 games being designed around DualSense is, either. For me that's how it's always been with consoles. It makes me wonder where the faux outrage we're seeing about that is coming from.
For me personally, backwards compatibility is nice for the outgoing gen', but it's hard to get excited about as the reason to look forward to the new toy. Same goes for "value". I want to see what's next.
