Announcement soon.
Just wait, it's coming! How? When? Where?
Just wait, it's coming!
Well, PS5 has more L2 cache by CU (around 16% more). So for the same work the main ram should be less used (vs XSX) because more work will be done using L2 alone. The same should be true about the L1 caches. AFAIK, PS5 should also have 16% more L1 cache by CU.Memory bandwidth on PS5. You'd think it's not enough for console, but there's some things that might prevent games from bandwidth starving. Things like delta color compression saves bandwidth. RGT talked about PS5's GPU "robust caching system", which can also help with this. And I suppose RDNA 3 Geometry Engine, which RGT also talked about, it does not process geometry which is not appearing in the frame. This saves GPU resourses and memory bandwidth as well, did I understand correctly?
I might have posted this before but not sure, nevertheless the quote stood out to me, curious to see what this geometry and rendering advantage the PS5 has over Series X and RDNA 2 as well as other information which has not been revealed.
"AMD have been internally testing RDNA 3 for a long time! this is why when I stated that RDNA 3 features are part of the PS5, I was very confident, I am pretty dam sure PS5 does have things like improved geometry handling (over RDNA 2) which is going to be a part of the later AMD roadmap, there are other things as well which I have been asked not to mention" Paul from RGT
It'll be like February all over again. How pissed are people gonna be when Sept 9th comes and goes and we still got nothing![]()
At least use a little photoshop to not make it look like it's a floating head on top of an empty shirt.
Also, good news I guess:
Rogame is usually reliable.

You are quick to bullshit there.About BC you are quick to forget how each and every console was retrocompatble in a more exhaustive extent that what MS offer.what I wrote was pretty self-explanatory. let me break it down for you.
- exactly the same venn diagram than makes sense for microsoft, makes sense for sony too,
it doesnt take a genius to figure it out.
- AAA first party studios are very expensive, their location and personnel is a fixed cost greater than what you probably think. If they can recoup this big investment by selling twice as much or even in half time, that is a big success.
- you think death stranding and horizon were released as "lures" for playstation hardware,
well I challenge you to find me even ONE non-console pc owner that said: "wow this motherfucking horizon! I'm buying a playstation now!"
- I said -not for the first time- that in my opinion sony is testing the pc waters and is gathering some metrics, while slowly they will "arm" their studios to be able to develop and test for pc concurrently. that's no small task, it took microsoft's first parties years!
- finally, I said that playstation games coming to pc is a PLUS for playstation owners, because sony has proven to be INCAPABLE of doing backwards compatibility like microsoft. and yes, I've seen the "patents" flying around every time disappointment rises. I am pretty sure though that when ps5 is fully revealed, nothing more than what we already know will have been achieved on b/c.
therefore, mid-longterm its a plus for you that all sony games on pc will be playable for ever, taking advantage of pc h/w progress, because on sony hardware that's a pretty massive question mark.
When will this train ride end? It almost feels like I'm being taken hostage on it.

Did you hear something?
Biggest peeve for me is while running certain games and going to the home screen
Hope to play Demon's Souls this winter. The fact that you're snuggling up, trying to stay warm, playing your favorite games on a new console. It has a good feeling to it.
CD Projekt Red already confirmed this months ago. They said the real next-gen upgrade is coming around March 2021. Launch Version is just a backwards compatible version you can play. Higher res and frames only I guess.

And the fact we won't need to wait an eternity at a loading screen when we die... because WE WILL DIE![]()
This image disturbs me on so many levelsAt least use a little photoshop to not make it look like it's a floating head on top of an empty shirt.

Well I just farted and I heard it so yeah I heard somethingDid you hear something?
quite a lot of silly points there, I just quoted the reason you went to ignore listYou are quick to bullshit there.....
....So to dumb things down a lot for you, you tried a straw man argument
RGT is reliable in my opinion. You see he doesn't make wild claims about either consoles, he doesn't even bother with things like reveal dates, prices and release dates (usually). He's information is more related to the hardware side of things which makes a lot of sense, he runs a very PC centric channel so he may have made contacts and friends from that. A lot of his PC leaks are usually very accurate as well especially on the AMD side of things. A lot of his information is usually consistent and he's not even a "hardcore" fan of consoles, he's one of those PC master race dudes. As with anything take it with a grain of salt of course.Does anybody here even trust this guy? Like even 5%?
Correct. Geometry Engine has several features some of which have not yet been revealed, essentially it allows developers to heavily optimise games for performance gains such as higher FPS, resolution and fidelity. Functionality which was heavily lacking in the previous gen.Memory bandwidth on PS5. You'd think it's not enough for console, but there's some things that might prevent games from bandwidth starving. Why you gotta do our homie Mark Cerny like that??At least use a little photoshop to not make it look like it's a floating head on top of an empty shirt.

That's amazing. Live, die, repeat. No loading times. Instant gameplay. my god, I want this game.
Any minute now..

This is interesting. Coreteks stated that Big Navi would only be able to compete with a 3070 however I was suspicious and it didn't sound right. Curious how things play out.

Congrats it's a perfect way of not answering any of my points but I guess being ignored for showing your bullshit is fair.Because you clearly had nothing relevant and no way to defend what you wrote.quite a lot of silly points there, I just quoted the reason you went to ignore list

There are some big-ticket graphics features worth exposing in Direct3D 12, and important enough to be represented in a feature level. There's a desire to streamline applications who wish to use them, and to make it easier to reason about support for those features on everyone's gaming environments. Those big-ticket items are -
In addition, feature level 12_2 includes a grab-bag of other capabilities, listed out below. As time moves on and newer-feature-level graphics cards become more widely available, application developers' lives are made easier since a cumbersome capability check can be removed in favor of simple reliance on presence of the new feature level."
- DirectX raytracing
- Mesh shaders
- Variable rate shading
- Sampler feedback
The report comes from French website Xboxygen, citing multiple unnamed sources. Evidently, the standard PS5 will cost $600, whereas the PS5 Digital Edition price will be around $500. These price points match up with some previously leaked PS5 price points and are also similar to analyst predictions. Even if Xboxygen's sources are unreliable, it wouldn't be surprising at all for these to still end up as the official price points.
I can't tell if people are serious or joking around these's days.... I'm to thirsty..Announcement soon.

With every little fart in the wind, someone has to chime in on possible prices. September 9th better bring the goods. I want Cerny to ascend down from the heavens and disassemble the PS5 with only his mind. I then want him to explain in convoluted detail how it all works. Is that so much to ask? It's September for fucks sake.

This would be nice if it was true.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they just announce it next Monday and have the show on Wednesday or Thursday next week at this point.
