Noooo no lol. They're not gonna waste the money to use a 56 CU GPU with only 20 active. It will have its own unique SOC.

I mean you aren't wrong. I "SPECULATE"
XSS : $299.99 (M.S. scared of a $100 dollar more digital PS5 at $399)
PS5DE: $399.99 (Sony scared of an XSX at either $399 or $449)
PS5: $499 (Sony hoping MS will do the same with XSX at $499)
XSX: $499 (MS want to price it higher but afraid of Sony undercutting them with $449 console)

It's craaaaaaazy!

I really don't think those consoles will cost $499. They will be more expensive than that.

Sony want things to flow Nice in terms of schedules.

You got the cOD no reveal already this week, enough to generate much hype, specially with exclusive contents for Ps5. Then You got the teaser trailer of excluisve PS5 event on the following day.

I know man, I think the same but it seems like that's how they'd want to go for it. All warring and crazy aside - I'm glad we are all in this together because right now both sides are being asses. I don't even think at this point there is anything to argue about. I'm a physical therapy worker and I've had to keep up during Covid19. I'm very understanding but companies and customer service are using Covid as a crutch too. If nothing next week then atleast Im getting married and get to get all of this off my mind 🙃

Could be vaguely true, and the leaker even says they don't know when Sony will say price. The fakest leaks always have too much exact info in them.

I could see Sony on friday announcing an event for next week. Or I could see them waiting til fucking November to say anything, who knows.

He's a PC fan - every time someone praises a console for 'X' feature, he thinks he has to remind them that 'PC did it first'. As if those people give a fuck whether a PC did it first, or did it better. We are comparing next gen of consoles with previous gen of consoles. What they do better, what they do worse, what they do the same. What VFX Veteran is doing is coming in a conversation about cars, and start talking about how faster airplanes are. Who gives a fuck - we're discussing cars. We KNOW that airplanes are faster and we DON'T CARE.

The fact that he's seemingly incapable of understanding this is mind-boggling.

Sony is managing to piss me off and I've been very patient. If september passes, as I suspect will happen if there are no news before the end of next week, I'm going to disconnect from this nonsense.

It's been 6 months since the Road to PS5 GDC talk and 3 months since the big PS5 reveal june event. No more relevant information ever since. Launch is 2 months away. This silence is jarring. My anticipation for the PS5 is pretty much gone.

The other things is just normal lighting and shading on the console. Shadows cast from objects outside the car on to the dash. Typical for all games now basically.

The environment is static so I could see someone thinking it's a cube map but the reflection of light sources and the movement of the reflections with respect to the car's position/direction makes me believe it is ray-traced reflections.

Are fake leaks now so low-effort that they come out already debunked?

I know a lot of people are desperate for news, but isn't it better to just admit to yourself that you don't know something, rather than latching onto anything you are presented despite all evidence suggesting it's completely made up and as likely of being true as you coming up with random numbers yourself?

I still think something is happening soon.

They didnt send me emails about PS5 until recently and then I got 3 in 10 days. One being a heads up on a pre order. Lots of us got these.

It's called mismanagement. When it goes from excitement to frustration then you fucked up. That's the social media reaction to every PlayStation news recently. Everyone is expecting PS5 news, even Bloomberg reported an event still scheduled for August yet here we are because Sony can't manage an event and instead talking about VR? Really?

It's been reported the bandwidth is more than sufficient on the PS5 , that will mean there's no memory contention problems

Not sure about everyone else, but after their next gen showcase, Microsoft put me off getting their console for the next couple of years.

There are launch/window games from Sony people want, so they are focusing on Sony, and deservedly so. This is boring.

In your own analogy I was already starving while waiting in line in front of the fancy restaurant and now I'm so pissed they still haven't even showed me the menu that the prospect of going home and eating yesterday's leftovers on my fridge sounds like the best option.
