One of the greatest misconceptions peddled by some folks around here is that Sony marketing is geared mainly towards the US market:

Hate to break it to you America, but you're less important than you think you are!
Sure but remember the US is their largest single country market. Of course all of Europe combined could be higher, but no 1 country is. Not enough people in any 1 EU country.

According to SIE's Gillen McAlister, we're not getting new PS5 news this week. ".... So to manage expectations, there'll be no PS5-related news.". So, that sucks.

I might actually need to play games I already have on a system I already own to occupy my time until next week at least it seems.

About boxes...

The US has the largest economy and military in the world but sure.

USA is just nearly a continent. Anyway, some products sell much better in smaller countries, like Toyota sells 5x more Land Cruisers in Oman (4.2 million population) than the US. Overall, Europe is a continent and NA sells less than Europe.

So Toyota is to Oman what Starcraft is for South Korea? :D

source states robert serrano lmao take this shit off. We've been hearing multiple 'insiders' state that "we should be expecting ps5 news later today" everyday since last week. Sony already stated dont expect any ps5 related news this week.

Does Europe really sell more consoles, or are sales just more evenly distributed amongst competitors?

Let's go crazy, next ps5 event:

*Shows ps5 ui in-depth
*in-depth gameplay for launch period title: Spiderman, Kena, demon souls and cie.
*Gow2 trailer
*Next ND game trailer
*FF16 and GTA6 trailers, both 1 year ps5 exclusive, release 2022
*Show 3rd party games running with no loading
* Show ends with price and release date reveals.

I gotta think Sony will make their play before MS preorders start. Gotta make one last play to try to prevent people from preordering their competitors box by dropping their info and games. I think we will see everything come to a head before the 22nd in any case.

Who the fuck knows though. Up is down, left is right, and we are in bizzarro world.

"Laughs in £449 sterling"

EDIT: oh wait I thought UK would be the cheapest. Dam it should have been £384 or something.

US Price of $499 is pre-sales tax, UK price of £449 is post-VAT. So $499 ~= £384, add on VAT of 20% and that's £461. So actually the price *MS* are charging in the UK is lower than the US price based on current exchange rates. Blame Brexit which tanked the exchange rates and our high VAT.

One more dev complaining about Series S.

"Revolutionary Interactive Live Action stories built on our #TouchVideo technology and design. First title #EricaPS4 out now for PS4."

lol

The Remedy guy doesn't need to be backed up by some interactive video creator.

Don't be a jackass, this "walking simulator creator" worked with Peter Molyneux at Lionhead for several years, was his right hand. He knows what he's talking about.

Well thats because the Land Cruiser is overpriced in the US lol its $90,000 for a suv. But sure Europe as a a whole is likely PS biggest combined markets.

His co-worker wrote an iOS game, that's supposed to make a difference? But where are you getting anyone involved was "right hand man at Lionhead" for years? WTF?

I just don't take indie rando's seriously..

My point was though that the Remedy guy doesn't need to be backed up by people like that.
