That is probably why it costs more... Silver is expensive than Copper.
It's just coating, like HDMI cable coating. Nothing serious.

I guess they will put the tasks that don't really require that bandwidth into the slower one. But that does sound like it would make development more difficult.
It will use Silver to do the coating... imagine the cost to coat 10m consoles. It's just coating, like HDMI cable coating. Nothing serious.
Yes is true but the DLSS can look better than a 4k with TAA.

I think we have three possible CU outcomes in 9 days or so:
1) RDNA2 CUs have a very similar transistor layout with the added RT blocks as RDNA1. Power efficiency etc comes primarily from the new fab node. This would explain the XSX CU layout and naturally the PS5 will also use the same CU layout.
2) RDNA2 CUs have a different transistor layout than RDNA1 which means that the XSX uses the RDNA1 layout but with the added efficiency (as seen in frequency) from the upgraded fab node and other RDNA2 features. PS5 uses the same RDNA1 layout for the CUs with RT added on top.
3) RDNA2 CUs have a different transistor layout than RDNA1 which means that the XSX uses the RDNA1 layout but with the added efficiency (as seen in frequency) from the upgraded fab node and other RDNA2 features. PS5 uses the new RDNA2 transistor layout for the CUs including RT.
Option 3 would explain the lack of RT data in the PS5 github leak. RDNA2 CUs were still in (co)-development and for the test silicon iterations the RDNA1 CUs were used as placeholders to test other functionalities.
I can honestly not say what I think the most likely option is.
If the ps5 is similar, which I'm guessing it will be, I have a new conundrum to deal with, Where to put it.62ºC at the top vent, Jesus. Don't put this beast in an enclosed space.
Not as expensive as you think. And who would use a 10m cable? You should stick with 3m max:
Yeah, you go trash on Stray...Graphics are getting too good, this too realistic "mentally ill crazy bitch rage"
I dont want to see raging feminazis in my games. Bad devs should just do games like Stray.
10 million consoles Bo... not meters.
62C
It is way higher than these Windows Central tests posted some days ago...
62ºC at the top vent, Jesus. Don't put this beast in an enclosed space.
Checkerboarding is much more deeper than that though, timestamped:
In the next chapter see how Richard lick the plastic of XSX, he described as tasty console ever made.
I mean seriously who test a hardware using BC mode and thinks is relevant for a stress test.

No heat goes to waste.

no,

PS5 has more flexible Ram, more bandwidth and the PS5 is easy just the much better console. How many Devs have said that so far? We saw the Unreal Gameplay Demo on PS5 with about 800 million Polygon per Frame. Not possible on XSX
End of story
I never got that argument. The only similarities are the camera angle - Last of Us doesn't play like Horizon, which doesn't play like God of War.Variety is a pretty good thing...i enjoyed quite a few of those games...i also enjoyed pretty much every game on this list also...call me a gaming whore
ps5 is looking pretty good for some real variety this gen and xbox is also set to have some good games
Great time to be a gamer

EDIT of the games on this list i would love to see the Days Gone expanded in the same direction as State of Decay but keeps its strong story....it would be a fun multplayer game
Well do remember that the room the Japanese youtubers were using with the PS5 was around 30C and the PS5 ran cool. So I wouldn't be that worried. As for heat with consoles, this is the way i see it, and this is just for me. my personal thoughts
My bedroom, which also houses my console and 43-inch tv has 2 massive windows on the west side of the building.
The buildings outside wall also has heating pipes that run up it.
In summer when the sun sets, the west side of the building, along with the heating pipes my bedroom heats up to over 30 degrees c, it is fucking unbearable.
The last heat wave he had in the UK 2-3 months back, i spent most of my time in the dining room, i even slept on the couch as my room was just to hot. I did not use my ps4 or my tv for that whole and had my pc turned off for most of the time.
Even at night, my room was 28-30 degrees. Console temps matter to me. 62 degrees sounds a lot to me, but if it is less than what my ps4 gives out then i say well done its a good improvement but if its more to me thats bad.
I will be very unhappy if the ps5 comes in at temps that are hight than the ps4, very unhappy indeed.
Again if other people are happy with it, i am happy for them. To me the more cooler the better.

What PS4 do you have? PS4 Pro can routinely throw out 65-66 degree air.
Don't be cheap Bo. Go Fiber Optic and you can really increase that range.
What PS4 do you have? The original PS4 can routinely throw out 65-66 degree air.
i have a ps4 pro and i play it for about a maximum of 1 hour a day, also watch netflicks on it late at night for an hour or so.
am i reading it correctly or did you mean it the other way round? i need to read that again.
Well, I'll use the OEM one. But that's great to know, just be careful not to snap those fiber cables as they're fragile. The price is good as well.
Well, in my 30 second Google search on this, there are a few different PS4 Pro models with the quieter ones being a bit hotter than the loader ones.
Plus, I miss typed my response there, the 60+ degrees in that post reference launch day PS4. Though I do see some 7200 revision of PS4 Pro or something like that listed at mid 60s. LOL
But... they also both.. vent out the back, like a normal electronic does.. not out the top, which is just odd and kinda sucks for XSX.
If the device damages itself if placed in a totally normal entertainment center setup, that is not what I would call "kinda perfect."Unless it encourages users to put these vertically on top of a shelf without shelves above. That's kinda perfect for longevity of an electronic device.

don't have too high hopes, the number will rise fastSo far they are going for 5%. Let's hope they keep it that way, lol.
XSX will need a guard or danger sign if its > 62 C to meet EU regulations
It's only 143 degrees Fahrenheit. Stop being so god damn Dramatic.![]()
Damn, some xbox fans are desperate to show that power advantage they thought would be there but so far just isn't. Trying to use this as a measure of the power of the 2 systems.
Plenty in the comments getting carried away. 'It begins' etc
Just a BC mode prediction.
Might be some confused people if rumours are true come rdna2 reveal.
I don't know why such a fuzz is made about XSX having more CUs per cache than PS5.I think L2 cache will be massive for ray tracing as data is so close, but we shall see how its presented, there is more to power than TF.
XSX will need a guard or danger sign if its > 62 C to meet EU regulations
It's easy to increase ventilation at the back of an entertainment center though..It was a joke because airflow out the back is one of the worst designs for an electronic device in an entertainment cabinet. Basically turning the rear of the shelf into an oven. Especially for those that just punch out that 2" hole for the cords. The air being released upward should ensure that more hot air escapes the shelf the device is sitting on, even if there is a shelf above (providing the device is sitting towards the front of the shelf). I'm sure people will deal, the 360 (slim and e) along with X1 and X1S all vented out the top. LOL
I get that anyone can write crap on the internet but at least put some effort into it. I read this like an idiot and he says the PS5 will run it at 1800p because the PS4 Pro ran it at 1800p...That literally his argument. Some people are so fucking stupid, clickbait or not, I don't get how people aren't embarrassed by posting these types of terrible excuse for words and sentences...either side of said console wars.
In the next chapter see how Richard lick the plastic of XSX, he described as tasty console ever made.

Wait these comparisons posted here was PC vs PC?seriously wtf is wrong with xbox fanboys

They have air conditioner but in UK this time of the year is pretty cold... right now is 13 C.And not only that, he stated the ambient was sitting at 21º Celsius. Is that normal in UK?
