this has nothing to do with it being a lazy port. we are comparing performance of a console gpu and a pc gpu with literally the same fucking settings. if optimizations are made then they would be made for the pc version too and the gap will remain the same.

Optimization on PC is a tricky one. There isn't a monolith called PC, each person is going to have different components, different software, different drivers, different processes running at the same time, etc.

Maybe Nvidia / AMD put new drivers that improve performance on some games, or some optimization is done for specific configurations, but that's very rare to occur post release.

No, I don't have sackboy yet. I want to finish bugsnax first. Go with Astro first. No rush for sackboy yet.

btw, the game help function and the activity cards are so handy when trophy hunting. The help video in Astro has a nice touch as in not spoiling everything but giving you sufficient hints. This is a much better experience. Now the key is whether other games will do the same. I suspect we will see a much wider gap between Sony 1st party and 3rd parties, not only in the graphics, but also other experience including dual sense support.

One thing that is a bit disappointing is that PS5 doesn't support my scarlet 2i2. I'm waiting for the audio extractor to arrive. my brief use of a cheap headphone on ps5 didn't impress me. I suspect the 3d audio maybe overhyped. Anyway, I will give it the benefit of doubt. I have not tried it with my audiophile headphone yet.

FIFA is probably a direct port from last-gen... so don't expect anything more than better performance.

I believe from these CoD is the most demanding.

My guess is ps5 will favour 1440p60 type games being narrow and fast, wont be so hot on native 4k with some engines is my guess.

Which is cool, I will chose performance mode every time its there on console which seems to be a thing now, which is great.

Meh, I am too old to care anymore. There are Sony fanboys(Jdub, crap gamer, youtube "experts") and Xbox fans on my TL. Definitely don't agree with many of them, but Facts are objective.

The video speaks for itself though, fan warring comments that accompany it notwithstanding

Evident of what? That PS5 can't do the same thing that PS4 and Series S are doing? There could be a million reasons for that effect being like that, but only one reason why those braindead fools are posting this.
 
After getting the platinum for Astrobot and then jumping into watch dogs legion I have one takeaway.

If you do not use Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers you are NOT Next-Gen!

This controller is the shit.

Easy big guy, I didn't post this lol. And it's self evident, because your eyes work as well as mine do( I'd hope) and we can see the snow missing from boots. In a few instances and different locations. It's objective, if it helps, cover names of each console with your hand next time you watch the video.

Good news is:
This hiccup on a multiplat launch title is in no way, indicative of the entire scope PlayStation has to offer. No one was harmed
