Exactly. It seems power went through their heads. Moderation should be a position of trust. We trust you to lead by example. How can you condemn your community when you yourself have been as much of an asshole to them.
Stock board moderation is usually an invisible person or an algorithm that automates posts getting deleted or adjusted. Post on Yahoo Finance some cuss words and it doesnt even get posted when you press Post.

I'm not really familiar with the admin stuff of XF forum software, but I know that vBulletin will just keep the counter going up with every new registration unless you intentionally rebulid forum statistics. This means that even deleted/purged users also inflate that number constantly. Of course, maybe they do update those counters, but I'm not going to hold my breath. It's not something that site owners (including myself) often do unless absolutely necessary.

lol it is crystal clear: these dudes are all business. there is zero chance they are going to be concerned with reeeee's radical internet activism because there is no profit in such cookery. mods wont be able to stop the influx of trolls they are about to receive, and they wont be able to handle the stress of banning ever other user that isn't even trying to troll (which is already their MO), and even if they do manage all of that, once it starts to affect the bottom line they will eventually be silenced by their new over lords, just as they have done to all of their subordinates over the last 4 years.
and they will claim its absurd and unfair through out the whole thing

They cant lock the thread or ban users who write reasonably written posts because it'll look bad on the site and mods, like they are trying to avoid answering questions or limit people taking about MOBA. A mod even closed down another thread telling people all MOBA and site concerns go to that master thread. So they cant lock it.
I hope Trey doesn’t respond so the last post stays as a call for mods to answer. I also hope that blamespace doesn’t ruin the moment with a reply.
