Safe to count the Eagles out you think? Or is it still too early?
This is interesting? Coughlin's a boring curmudgeon. Ryan makes sweet love to feet. Simple as that.squicken said:Heard an interesting point, and kind of agreed with it. Coughlin is in the NY papers every week, one game away from being fired. All the while the reporters eat out of fatty's hands.
But all he's ever done is lose in the AFC championship game, while Coughlin has won a SB and always has the Giants in contention for the playoffs.
Still too early. They have a soft schedule and if they beat us in 2 weeks the division would still be up for grabs. Three games up with the packers and saints still on the schedule, I'm not totally confident yet.DeaconKnowledge said:Safe to count the Eagles out you think? Or is it still too early?

i feel like we should be favored by more, but i'm not even mad. let lovie and company keep playing the disrespect card if that's what motivates the troops. we're going to beat detroit, i guarantee it.

The packers gunna return the favor week 17 or be nice and let us into the playoffs?eznark said:Looking at the NFC standings, that Bears win was pretty huge for the rest of the league. Shitty teams like Atlanta, Tampa, Washington, Dallas and obviously Philly all kind of needed the Bears to lose that game. 8 games in and I don't see the NFC playoff picture changing at all through the rest of the year.
Rack it?

Any team with AGod is the most complete team in history. He is a transcendent figure who stands alone as the Greatest in a time of Greatness. This is the era of the Quarterback and none has outperformed the Rodge.Packers are the most complete football team in the history of the NFL.

eznark said:Depends on the 49ers more than anything. Also, you should probably be rooting for the Packers on Thanksgiving.
That's good cuz sprolles has been effective all season without ever rushing for more than 100 yards.storybook77 said:Avatar bet sir?
Also to anyone picking NO because of Brees and Sproles....all of our recent games have been close with Brees looking Favrian in most of them and as for Sproles, our defense hasn't allowed a 100+ rusher in 11 straight games.
The Saints won in spite of Brees trying to hand us the game at home last year.
Bring it!

yacobod said:bears will win 10 or 11 games w/out that 2nd packers game, so i think a wild card slot is a lock. going 6-3 into the easy part of our schedule will be nice.
ruining their perfect season on christmas night would be fantastic though, if they are still undefeated.
You only have to go back to 2007 (Pats D was 4th in points allowed), and you can probably find other more complete teams.
yacobod said:no word from any Chicago media outlets which would lead me to believe it's not serious, but who knows.
i just don't see the bears playing as poorly as they did in that first Detroit game. our offensive line jumped early 9 times in that game and had several holding penalties. the false starts shouldn't be an issue playing at home. and our offensive line has played better in the past 3 games. on the radio this morning, they said last night was the first game since November 2009 that cutler wasn't sacked. our run blocking has gotten better, and i think the addition of earl bennet is going to help as well.
our defense has also played better since they cut chris harris, benched brandon merriweather, and promoted chris conte. losing jahvid best is going to hurt detroit as well, because that eliminates another potential big play guy from their team.
again looking at our schedule 10 wins looks like a lock if we stay healthy, 11 is realistic. which is ludicrous thinking how poorly we started the season with OLine play, martz playcalling, and injuries. should be a fun stretch run.
Honestly, DRC was even worse. I don't think I've seen a corner so disinterested in tackling in a long time. It's sad when Asante looks competent in that regard by comparison.eznark said:Also, I cannot get over how atrocious the Eagles wide outs are. All the talent in the world is meaningless if you don't give two shits about your job.
eznark said:If the Bears win 10 or 11 games then there is no way the Christmas game has any meaning. Packers will pull a 2008 and lay down.
2010 Packers >>>>>>>>>>>> 2007 Patriots

Although I guess you're just trying to start an argument.

yacobod said:i don't think laying down at the end of the year if you're undefeated ala the colts in 2009 is good for karma heading into the postseason.

It wont matter. Waste of time.
I dont know, the Cowboys have a pretty easy upcoming few games minus the Buffalo game. If we can win against buffalo, split with NYG and Philly, and beat the teams with the losing records (wsh/ari/phi/etc) than they can finish w/ 10-11 wins.eznark said:Looking at the NFC standings, that Bears win was pretty huge for the rest of the league.
