NFL 2011 Week 9 |OT| It's F N week 9 already..

Makes me sad. We won't even have a lockout at the end of the year to tide us over. Maybe we can go into NBA-gaf and teach them how to use cat.gif to end their multi-year lockout.

fuuuuuuuuck week 9 already!? why does the season go by so fast every year and then the wait seems like it fucking takes forever. it will be even worse this year because i actually enjoy watching playoff basketball but i couldn't care less about baseball at all. ugh

lol wtf

I dont know if this loss is good or bad for our chances next week. The Chargers dont exactly seem like the type of mentally tough team that will kick ass after an embarassing loss. Although it will officially be November...

That would be truly impressive against our defense.

Our defense has no problem getting turnovers, it's the yards that's the issue.

Didn't watch last night's game, figuring it would suck just like every other game has recently. Looks like I was wrong. Chiefs looking frisky, though if I was a Chiefs fan, I'd have my enthusiasm tempered by that asshole Haley

The game really, really sucked. Roughly every play there was some error in execution or hilarious penalty. It confirmed that your most recently adopted conference is no longer the worst in the NFL.

Highly entertaining though.

I turned off last nights game in the 3rd quarter. it was such a sloppy ugly game. Norv has finally ran the Chargers totally into the ground. They looked terrible, he is Sparano levels of bad now.

Your conference is my conference, sir.

Looks like Kolb may not play. Get Bradford healthy and Rams can be 2-6!

I didnt even bother with the game last game. Knew it would be bad. The Chiefs were playing harh harh harh...anywho..wheres the week 9 thread????

I think I'll take the route established by Raiders fans, Bionic & Co. and say that the Steelers stole the victory with Polamalu's illegal play. We all know that 8 seconds would've been enough for the Pats to win it.

Dude just has bad hands this season...he tried to recover and ended up punching it into the endzone.

Clearly this is all just a big misunderstanding!

Giants redeemed?

In a game where the #Eagles relied on their intermediate passing game, Steve Smith played 0 snaps, even though he was active.

I think we still get the ball there regardless, just changes the final score.

Tomlin would have just kneeled down and ended the game instead of the safety and the botched onsides.

If it was not for that play I would never have learned that you can still do an onsides kick after a safety.

levious

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.

something I've always wondered, always thought an onsides drop kick (assuming you get a clean bounce up) could be a higher percentage play than having the top the kick into the ground. I'd like to see that tried again someday.

It's lucky we don't have any Chargers fans on GAF. They'd have been pissed this morning.
Not pissed, but a little surprised. I thought I had seen all the ways that the Norvals could beat themselves. Last night takes the cake.

My fiancee and her dad are big Charger fans, and after last night I don't see how they put up with the frustration. I didn't particularly care other than I had them winning in my pickme league, but I was ready to rip my hair out. To watch a team that's much better than the way they're performing fuck themselves over game after game, year after year... Even the games they win are only against really weak teams and even then it's close at the end. I love Phil Rivers, but I don't see how he hasn't choked out Norv in the locker room by now.

At least your team didn't lost to a winless Rams team. For the second time. In 4 years.

We're seriously considering changing the name of a botched snap, a Romo, to a Rivers.

I think at this point, we're all pretty used to the repeated self-destruction/implosion/Norv face. I hate that I love the Chargers.

Rivers is working on the follow-up.
