How long is our avatar bet going to be? Can't wait to go into your house and smash the fuck out of your bitch team.

1 month! And you guys aint doin shit! Giants are due for a loss and goofy ass eli isnt getting away with those sorry ass ducks he completed against the worst D in football!

Good morning GAF, I just had the craziest dream that Joe Flacco played competent football against Pittsburgh and led the Ravens on a fourth quarter, 92-yard winning drive.

So weird.

I had a dream were the Giants signed Peyton Manning and used a dual quarterback set and won the Superbowl.

I'm ready for the Saints game. Our defense has improved dramatically over the past couple of games (Spoon and Peters are the most improved) and Mularkey finally realized we still have an offensive line built to run first and play action pass off that.

If they get beat they get beat. I'm not claiming that they are some unstoppable force, but in a down year they are the best out there.
Can't argue with that.

Somehow Regular season success has not translated to many championships in recent years (as Packer fans are well aware).

Should have had the score :(

Crushing loss for the Steelers.

Defense was horribad on 3rd down. Just could not get off the field.

But with 4 1/2 minutes left, Arians shit the bed on play calling. A screen to David Johnson? Throw an out to Moore on 3rd and 4 in a situation where a yard or two -- even on a QB sneak -- would have setup a FG to make the lead 7?

And then to not call a TO and try the 47 yarder anyway. I would have given the Ravens the shorter field on a miss and hoped we could get the ball back. The confidence in the D was misplaced.

But losing to the fucking Ravens twice just grinds my coffee. Ugh.

i like how everyone is saying cut ocho like its his fault he was targeting 5 times and didnt catch one, at least 2 of them were bad throws by brady one of which is featured in picture above. I saw another where the defender made a good play and deflected it before the ball go to ocho.

I picked the eagles. But they are such a Jekyll and Hyde team. Bears had a tough schedule so far.

Gonna be close. I just dont think they match up well against the birds, unless Peppers go crazy.

It's easy to say this in hindsight.

but think about it last night. They have to score a touchdown, late, with Flacco on the field and the Steelers defense. Almost every time this has happened the Steelers came out on top.

Not making that kick was the right call. I guarantee you Suisham would have missed, setting the Rats up much closer than they were. Better to go for it and fail - at least that way you make it and the game is over.

there's a blueprint for beating Flacco - pressure him. He set up camp in the backfield and it cost us. The end.

Brady threw that ball late as fuck. I was shocked that he held on to it for so long when it happened. Brady looked a step slow in his progressions for much of the game.

Season basically on the line tonight.
...

McCoy is gonna gash us bad.

Tonight we're all Eagles fans.

I wish both Woodley and Harrison could have been on the field together yesterday. The way Harrison played yesterday, with the way Woodley has been playing for the last month, probably would have resulted in something ridiculous :(

Pass rush can do that to any QB, he was late on many throws, at times he looked scared...

I agree 100%. Before we saw what had happened I felt much more comfortable punting than missing the very long FG and giving them the short field. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have tried to run it more, but they were stuffing it at the end of the game.

No one could have seen Flacco shitting on our defense for 4 quarters. We have seen him play well for 3 quarters but never in the 4th when it really mattered.

Sometimes the other team is just better. Sometimes evil wins.

Speaking of evil winning. BaltimoreLarry you can PM my avatar when it is ready. :(

Yeah maybe the steelers couldve gotten away with even more rule breaking launches at the qb!

Maybe we were watching different games, but the one I saw had Brady throwing the ball pretty quickly on most plays. There were only a few in which he had the ball for more than 2-3 beats.

Normally the refs let both teams get away with all sorts of illegal shit for our entertainment.

The refs last night were horrible and only applied the current pussified rules to the Steelers. It isn't Ravens/Steelers football without late hits, defensive holding and quarterbacks running for their lives.

I am with harson though. I can't wait for a healthy Harrison and 2011 Woodley to team up again. The two of them might be enough to make our defense good again.

After this Jets game the toughest game left for the Patriots is @ the Eagles. They could lose to both of them and still go 11-5 and make the playoffs.

Don't dismiss the power of Tebow that easily.

1 missed personal foul call. Steelers got a bogus hold call on a ravens td and no penalty on the launch. Steelers benefitted from more calls

agree.

Funny watching steelers fans constantly complaining about refs.

All the little things added up to our loss.

That Roethlisberger interception to Suggs was pretty fucking huge, considering we were likely going to score at least a field goal with the way our offense was picking apart the Raven's defense. I have no idea what Ben was thinking with that throw, Suggs was definitely in his sight when he threw it.

The refs having different definitions of helmet to helmet for the Steelers and Ravens. If the Clark hit where he tried to lead with his shoulders but accidentally hit the receiver with his helmet, than the hit by Ray Lewis and another in the 4th quarter were deserving of a penalty (don't remember the exact players involved, but it was a long reception that was dropped because of the hit).

That entire last drive by the Steelers. The play calling by Arians (more time should have been run off) and the mismanagement by Tomlin specifically. I personally wasn't too worried about a missed FG, 70 yards in 2 minutes is nothing to sneeze at, and the chance of making the worse cast scenario for the next drive to tie the game up is worth it IMO.

And the defense on that last Raven's drive was horrible. Prevent when we should have been aggressive, and no prevent on the game winning pass when we should have been in prevent. Amazing.

There were two hits on defenseless receivers that the refs missed on the Ravens (one that knocked Ward out of the game, but that probably helps our offense). They called one one on Clark (right call). Missed the call on Harrison flying in against Flacco. Missed some blatant holds on both teams cornerbacks (and yet both teams passed for more than 300 yards). One cost the Steelers a TD. One stopped a Ravens TD, but our D was so bad they scored the winning TD anyways.

Refs did not change the outcome of the game buts lets not act like they did a good job last night.

Yeah, but as i've been told Belichick is such a Goddamn genius he can send you or I on the field and win a championship.

They're lucky Brady's still playing well, otherwise Belichick's lackluster personnel management wouldn't be such an afterthought. Wonder how many scouts were pilfered when Pioli and Dimitroff took off, was thinking about it during the week. At least they've done well on one side of the ball, for the most part.

You all are making my point. Take note eznark.

Damn. Great Game Last Night. Started out it was going to be a repeat of Saturday Night but everything changed mid 3rd. Thats the way games ment to be played despite mangaments meddling.

The refs did not lose us the game, but you shouldn't let hatred for a superior franchise cloud your memory of the game. Let's not pretend that Torrey Smith didn't push off to get that game winning touchdown.

I do. "I'm gonna throw a screen". That's it. Ben wasn't even looking when he threw. Suggs jumped the route and Ben didn't even know he was there. Interception. Sometimes a great play is a great play.
