Again, we have made the playoffs many times and loss, no excuses. Bill Polian was stubborn, and Irsay is a jackass, but when you make the playoff your fans expect an SB. You can come up with an excuse for ANY team that has lost a game in the playoffs.

The same could be said of the Chargers for the past 4-5yrs. People were real sure they'd win a SB, but they haven't. No one is saying they suck, or can never when an SB. But they haven't, despite playing in a weak division, and being one of the favorites in the AFC. Smith isn't better than Schaub, but as of late he's been a pretty decent decision maker and makes enough plays to win, I'd say he's a lil more consistent, and overall has better targets though. Texans have a better running game though, defense is still debateable, but the 49ners have played better teams.

Arian hit the spotlight in 2010 when our defense was HISTORICALLY terrible. I think it was 4/6 blown 4th quarter leads they gave up. In 2011 things were going great till he went down and the defense improved exponentially.
