I think it was Modell wanting Phillips, but Ozzie wanting to stay true to the board and take Ogden. That was another annoying thing. Lombardi giving Belichick credit for the Ray Lewis pick, and acting like Belichick's grading system is such a key component of picking players. Who cares what color markers they use?

Ozzie's big flaw has always been not finding the right QB, though who knows with Flacco

Kinda wonder that too. Its a high percentage passing offense and Brees executes it very well. The records get broken as a result of that sort of offense. Its not a huge deal, but to a player it probably is a huge personal goal accomplished. Brees has a SB ring. Its notl ike these are all just empty stats.

Which clowns are you listening to? People act like we've only beaten bottom feeders (that's the Texans . I'm sure bad teams beat the Pats in their home and a #1 offense Eagles in back to back weeks. Played Seattle better than GB and we got fucked by the scabs in that game at the end too, our D just overcame it. Came out with a win in a trap game that most teams don't dig their way back out of.
