NFL-NFLPA joint statement on stanky ass Tampa

In a joint statement, the NFL and the Players’ Association also acknowledged that Buccaneers cornerback Johnthan Banks is the third Buccaneers player to contract a MRSA infection since training camp.

“The NFL and NFLPA have worked together in response to the MRSA matter in Tampa Bay,” the statement said. “The jointly retained specialist has met with the team, supervised the inspection of the facilities, conducted medical examinations and agrees with the team medical staff that Mr. Banks does not pose a risk of transmission to other players. The specialist also met with team officials from the Eagles. All players have been advised of the process and we will continue to work together to jointly monitor the situation.”

There was some talk that the union was so concerned about the potential spread of infection at the Buccaneers’ facility that they would call for Sunday’s game to be postponed or canceled, but the NFL has confirmed that the game against the Eagles will go on as planned.

He's just messing with you, man.

The thing with Romo is that he seems to always find a way to screw up when it really counts. All those stats are nice by what is his playoff record? And when you play QB at a fairly high level for 90% of a game it really makes the other 10% stand out.

Plus, some of Romo's failures have just been so memorable and massive, like the screwed up hold on the FG against the Seahawks. The dude just doesn't seem to have that intangible mental factor that separates the good from the best.

The bolded is the same argument people use when they say that Eli is a better QB then Peyton.

At least Peyton has shown he can win it all.

Personally I would never want Romo as the QB of my team because I don't think he is capable of taking a team to the SB and winning it. But hey, how about that QB rating!

Go ahead and make some Marino jokes.

Personally I'd rather have a QB with as many SB rings as someone like Dan Marino rather than a guy with as many SB rings as Joe Flacco.

You'd rather have a QB with 0 rings than a QB with 1? To each his own, I guess.

And for the record Marino never winning a SB was not his fault, in my opinion. He did his job but the surrounding talent was never good enough. Romo does not have that excuse.

To Peyton's defense. The only QB this generation that I've witnessed, that can match Eli's ridiculous level of clutch playoff play is Big Ben. That drive on the Cards was pure rape. Better than any final Montana drive tbh. No disrespect though to JoMo, as he didn't shit his way to his first SB win.

Trent Dilfer and Joe Namath have a ring. This world is unjust.

Alright Kave I added you buddy, any other NFL gaf brahs playin' X or Y?
Yeah man, my FC is 1504-5717-4184. I need more 3DS buddies so if anyone else wants to add me please feel free.

I know. :(

I don't get into ranking QB's too much because there are just too many variables, but at the end of the day what I want is a guy who gives my team the best possible shot at winning the SB. Even though Marino never got one I still think he was that guy.

Tom Brady thinks Gronk should play, Dr Andrews doesn't

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/10/12/andrews-suggests-that-gronkowski-not-play/

Per a league source, Dr. James Andrews has recommended that Gronkowski not play.

Earlier in the week, Gronkowski was optimistic that he’d get clearance. The failure to get medical permission to return to action with a forearm that was broken twice and invaded in the offseason by infection through six weeks of the regular season raises an obvious question — when will clearance come?

Gronkowski will miss the minimum number of games he would have missed if he has remained on the physically unable to perform list. However, he has been able to practice during the past six weeks, and New England’s opponents have been forced to prepare to face him.

Still, as Tom Curran of CSN New England explained during Friday’s PFT Live, the lingering inconsistency between Gronkowski being able to practice but not play is creating frustration for his teammates. Curran believes that one of the frustrated teammates is the one responsible for throwing the football to Gronkowski and other receivers.

Some weeks, we jokingly say everyone is a fan of a certain team in detest of the opposition. This week is different. This week, we are all Minnesota Viking fans -- Adrian Peterson fans. There is no animosity, no dissension, no over arching playoff narrative at stake, but a chance for one game to show the comrodary of a sport, its players, and its fans to rally behind a talented player who lost his son in a senseless, vile act of cruelty. While the game still needs to be played -- and the Panthers will give little concessions when a tackle needs to be made -- this Sunday's game should be a demonstration of the best of sports. Not just on the field, but in the Metrodome, and across the country.

Breaking Bad season 4 in the books. Excellent, and I come back and see all these funny gifs. What a nice night.

And no disrespecting Jennifer Lawrence, the lady is an angel and deserves class.
