Personally I thought he was down and while the ruling on the field was a fumble, the reversal made sense.
The D did give up tons of yards but ultimately held them to FGs. Can't fault them too much. Even came up with a few INTs. The lack of any pass rush was disappointing though. That's two weeks in a row where the opposing QB has had no real pressure at all. If Brees threw two bad INTs with no pressure, imagine how much worse he could have been had we any pass rush. That said again the D did as well as it could. Held Colston and Graham in check.
Its the offense that really let us down. Slow start by Foles yes but he just seemed lost at times. He got great protection by the OLINE but just stood there. The ball has to come out fast. Either throw it quickly, find the RB in the flats, or take off. Even if you only pick up 1-2 yards while running its better than taking terrible sacks which kick you out of field goal range. He did play better later on but we needed a hot start. NO started off slow as well and we could have put them away if we came out firing.
Chip too gets the blame. I just didn't get the gameplan. The two best and most explosive players on the team barely got the ball until the end of the 3rd quarter. Yes Desean probably had good coverage on him but it seemed liked Foles didn't even look his way. I don't know if was designed so he would be a decoy but over these past few weeks I am sick of him being used on every fake in the world only to not get the ball. Give him the fucking ball in space and he can work some magic. Case in point? That 2 yard crossing pattern which he took for a first down because he can out run everyone. If the offense is stagnant, they should automatically try to get the ball into his hand on quick short passes to see if he can break something.
Where were our TEs? Why wasn't McCoy getting carries? Where was the screen game? All the things that made our offense successful were ignored. I know the Saints D did a fantastic job but you can't tell me they were so good that they could cover every single weapon we had. It was either piss poor scheming or Foles just not finding the open guy. Starting the 3rd quarter with back to back 3 and outs is disgraceful.
Our game plan should have been to pound the ball no matter what. But no it was Foles dropping back over and over, taking sacks, and McCoy and Desean barely getting the ball. And I hate to say it a couple of times during the game I was wishing Chip would have put in Vick just to shake it up. Vick at least on those plays where no was open would have taken off for big chunks of yards.
Still they had a chance to win. Saints just played better and more plays. But that Cooper play. Could have changed the game completely.
Stuff isn't black and white, but more of a continuum. You can be mostly straight.
I know we need offensive lineman but maaaaaan I hope we could get ASJ somehow!!
Note to self: never click a brentech link ever again.
Come on, eznark. You can do better.
I love you, too, though.
the path of Rodgers in the pocketGreg: Was that the standard route your WRs ran yesterday?
Rando, you're my bro, but ASJ is coming to New England.

I thought it was against NFL rules to block a guy from interviewing for a promotion?

Haha, nice.the path of Rodgers in the pocket
Yeah that's my belief as well. I think he'd do really well for you guys, I only wish him the best!!

You and Greg are the leaders of the nice guy squad. It's scary to see genuinely nice people in this thread.
you can right click and save it for only 300 million eurosMan, this is art. I totally get it man. The criticism on how our society is so obsessed with sexuality, putting people in boxes. Some serious neo-expressionism going on there. The new Basquiat.
Two games is one hell of a sample size but I guess it is a sample size.
the path of Rodgers in the pocket
Sherman had to go. Let Martin quit, Incognito get suspended and Dion Jordan do nothing. Awful job by him this year
I saw that and cringed. kas was so sure the Lions job was the top choice for everyone. Though maybe Gruden knows not to bother since Whiz is already locked in?

I'll be around for at least 75 more years, but it's a deal!I can sell it with a profit when you die! But I'll only buy it if I get a signed CD with it as well.
OMFG he did?! Bench this fucking loser!
Good idea if you want to win the SuperBowl
No less of an accomplishment than having to beat Jay Cutler and Matt Stafford to make the playoffs every year.
See you guys next Winter.
He has looked horrible up there, he needs to prove them wrong. Young had similar demons though with other teams, so it's not like he's alone.
everyone except our friend mechJust reminding everyone to root for the Patriots this weekend.
If the Lions job was really the top job then OBrien would have tried for it. He was clearly the top guy coming out and he wanted nothing to do with it. I think most big coaches want to pick their own guy at QB and not get stuck with someone that has already learned a bunch of bad habits and seems to think they are above reproach.

Greg should be the ambassador for NFL-GAF, should the need ever arise.

True but its not like he's played 10 games against and its the same outcome every time. Its two really shitty games. If he makes it three in a row this year then ya.... that would suck.
