I post here every so often. Usually don't have much to post about b/c lolBills. But lolBears today. I can't beleive we won and EJ only looked 1/2 bad. Next week will be fun.

This Monday...

Don't forget to throw ELIte into that mix as well. Plus the curse of ESPN-helmed Monday Night games being notoriously bad. I expect 10 picks between the two games, at least.
You're right! There's always the chance Eli could have one of those weird meltdown games.

But for consistent laughs, I'll take my chances with Stafford and Rivers.
and Romo

You should come around more often. It's always a party in NFLgaf when the Pats catch that fade.

GG Phins. See you next week.

The Saints were up 20-7 late in second quarter looking solid and then .....who the fuck knows what happened

Those leads are dangerous. Can't rely on them, best to just keep the foot on the gas. At least for the offense. I think you have to conserve the defense as best you can though.

Hopefully the pass rush improves when Von is more healthy.

Yeah, Von and Harris sat out some snaps tonight. They must not be entirely 100% yet. On a good note, Marshall had a pretty good game with 10 tackles, 2 for a loss, and 1 pass deflection.

I think your pass rush was pretty good this game.

I think Von looked a little rough, and some of the other guys were just okay. Ware and Jackson probably looked the most disruptive.

I thought that for the most part, the Colts OL hung on. Luck is also very good at moving around to avoid pressure. He's pretty tough to sack simply because he's big and oddly elusive. It's easy to forget how well he moves.

Divisional games are always like that. We can pick off Carlson 4 times at home and lose...

Yeah. I hate divisional games especially on the road.
ESPECIALLY to start the season. And particularly when that team was terrible last season. Ran into an emotional buzzsaw like they did when our Dome reopened in 06. It is what it is.
three of our first four games are on the road. Thats brutal for anybody.

Random thoughts from the Niner game for those who care:

-Kap looked really, really poised today. I know, I know "loldallasd", but his command of the offense perfect, he routinely changed plays that went for 10+ yards. He was going through his progressions and making accurate throws. His statline wasn't all that impressive but he played very well. Pretty excited for him to make the leap, so to say.

-Boldin is still a man among boys. Vernon Davis has the sketchiest hands of any elite player.

-Defense was all around okay, the run defense was really bad. Ray McDonald was getting targeted all game long. Every run went to his side and was successful. Secondary held up well until garbage time, which doesn't mean anything to me. Especially because we were missing so many starters. Cully, Brock, and Ward all went down. Special shout out to Dontae Johnson, rookie who played well and broke up two passes. I think he gave up a touchdown, but that happens.

-Carlos Hyde is going to be a monster. He and Gore are going to be a very potent tandem this year. I expect them to be used very similarly to how they were today - balance the carries.

I was really nervous about the defense, specifically pass defense, but the secondary answered the call today against, on paper, an elite offense. Run defense needs to get it together though. Even in the preseason they were trash.

Good win today.

I doubt anyone's watching but Josh Elliott is quite terrible in this post NBCSN show. Collinsworth is looking at him like what is this guy doing. Nerves I'm sure but it's amusing

E. Manning
Stafford
Palmer
Rivers

Honestly I see 15 picks between them
with Stafford throwing none.

Also go figure I stop watching and it becomes a game

Late to the game. Driving back from Baltimore, there was a damn road construction so only made it back in time or the Broncos FG in the first quarter. Quick notes:

Defense really bailed out the Broncos on this one. They'd played admirably considering how long they had to stay out there in the 2nd half. Pass rush was solid but wasn't as dominant as I'd hope they would be. Especially against what was supposed to be a makeshift oline. Thankfully the secondary played fantastic in my eyes.

Despite 3 TDs, Peyton had a very meh game. Way too many drives ending in 3 & Outs or before the 50 yd line. It doesn't look like Peyton is in sync with Caldwell. Almost every throw to him was off. Wish Latimer got some reps instead.

I think your pass rush was pretty good this game.

If anything, the Colts pass rush was impressive against what was supposed to be a tweaked and restored oline. I saw good pressure on Manning in 2ndhalf, despite missing Mathis. Colts will be solid this year. Onside kick gave me PTSD of the 2009 Super Bowl.

A lot of things the Broncos need to work on, especially by week 3 at Seattle. If they played like this, I think we'd lose.

Yeah, his pocket presence is improving by the year and he got the ball out during some stretches of the game. It ended up turning into a fun match so enjoy the win, hopefully these two team make it to the postseason!!

If Denver played like this against Seattle they'd lose 43-8...at least.

Either way, I'll take the win. Hopefully they clean stuff up next week.

The fact that Von Miller was being beaten 1 on 1 almost the entire game makes me a little wary. He commanded double teams his second season, and the Colts basically came out with the strategy of 'we don't think you are the same player you were two years ago', and ended up being right. I hope he finds the spark again, because right now he looks a little slow and a little gassed on some plays. With the Broncos linebacker situation in the position it is, Von needs to step up, and quickly, considering who we have over the next 7-8 weeks.

Yeah we brought some decent pressure throughout. I cringed everytime we blitz, although we had some good looks and chances. The run D looks improved sans a few blown tackles and gap responsibility. Davis also had a pretty good game, and the D overall did ok and wasn't completely abysmal. The turnovers and blown opportunities on offense sting more.

Games starting early tomorrow. Yessss!
Then Destiny at midnight if you preload? I'll do that tomorrow

That Better call Saul series dosent look bad, I'm optimistic

I want to watch the All-22 of the SF-DAL game to try an appreciate Romo's poor reads and decisions.

That shit was terrible.
