They can't without ticking of the player's union (and Goodell is going to want to keep them on his good side with the new drug policy they're trying to pass).
That video isn't going to help the NFL, and Goodell's image, that's for damn sure.

I can get suspending Gordon for the whole year, but hell atleast let him be able to spend time with the team. If goodell really wants to help players atleast help out with Gordon's support system by letting him be with the team even if he can't play. Just left him out to dry
Irsay punishment, all around joke
Rice, video really speaks for itself. Only the extreme back lash by national media outlets caused a change to the policy. (CNN, abc, etc were reporting on it)

Not to legitimize it but I think she hit him with her arm or elbow. Shitty video but that's what they may have talked about in the past.
She, however, needs the concussion protocol, when you look at the conference where she and Rice are together. Are we sure she's not still having symptoms?
And their excuse she instigated the fight is very suspect. He's a huge dude. There was no way he was worried about her harming him. Her 'attack' is barely there.
Why I don't like Goddell. He has other 'considerations' and he's not fit to have so much power.

After getting nearly $60 worth out of the beta, I think it's going to be a good game. If it's just more of the beta then that's awesome. I'm not sure what people are expecting?
I think the Bears may have been more successful with Kyle Orton instead of Cutler. Something about Cutler makes the coaches forget that Matt Forte exists. This was also a big problem in the Lovie Smith era as well and I'm glad to see CFL make the same mistakes.
I'm not sure if Cutler would accept a reduced role of only throwing it 30 times a game though since he seems like the type to want to win the game with his arm just like Favre or Romo.

Football is for Sundays. We looked the other way for MNF but this is going too far.
Take away my concerns these two teams have like 5 minutes to get ready for the game. It's stupid. Hopefully this works to my teams benefit and the Ravens don't have time to watch the 2nd half of our last game....

WHY do people hate Ohio so much? I think I should visit the state someday and find out whats so despised about it. With 11 million people in it there should be plenty to do and see, some nice parks and amenities, theme parks and great museums and stuff. How is that a bad thing? Im just mystified by this. Why dont people hate Michigan as much, or Indiana? Or Iowa? Surely those states are even worse?

Good morning. This is one of those "just make it till lunch" days; lunch is when you can at least see the end of the day coming. Needless to say I can't wait for tonight and MNF. It's not often that the Lions get a signature game like this. I'm excited and confident: I fully expect that we're going to win this game. The schedule is full of tough games and assuming we're not great (not hard to assume as a Lions fan) I think 8-8 is about as good as we can hope for. But this should be a win.
And if not this is going to be a VERY long season.
