I believe Lions/Packers is for home advantage,as they are both in and Atlanta/Panthers is for divison Championship and in or out of playoffs... ? not 100% on that though...

The behind the scenes network politicking reason I've heard is that the NFL felt bad about NBC stealing FOX's premier week 17 games the past few seasons so they balanced it out by giving them the CBS game instead this year.

I think Fisher, Pettine, Rex and Bradley are all okay coaches. But they are defensive coaches. So they roll out good defenses but are reliant on others to make their offenses work. But any decent offensive coach gets a HC gig
