Hopefully no NFL GM trade partners notice these things!

you think that would stop them? colts gave a first for trent, raiders gave two firsts for carsonpalmers, a guy who threatened to retire just prior to the trade, the redskins traded everything just to draft the oft injured rg3. if you were being sarcastic, you haven't been watching.

Detroit lions can be summed up very easily

Drake, Started from the bottom now we're here.

I feel that we are afraid of heights though so expect to fall by the end of the season :(

Not familiar with the Fall season? It's quite lovely.

I envy you people who get to experience Fall. I've been living in FL way too long, and it sucks not to get into Halloween spirit. But if I get this govt job, I'll be living in the far NE part of the country, so I'll experience Fall and Winter that's for sure.

The return you'll get is not what you want for his value given his injury history and concerns. Even then, who do you bring in to replace him? Try drafting guys who you don't even trust anyway?

Do you even have any real ideas or is your only solution is to get rid of everything besides a declining Brady?

3 targets last night.

Huge weapon bro!

Speaking of I told you so, the two Pats fans that eviscerated me for suggesting that Dobson is awful. That's two weeks in a row that he was a healthy scratch. Guy is a bum and another wasted draft pick.

By Patriots wide receiver standards, Dobson is Jerry Rice.

You gotta remember, this is the organization that had Reche Caldwell as their #1 receiver

Now official, FCC ends the blackout rule.

FCC's blackout rule is done for like a Chip Kelly red zone drive

Sounds like the NFL is still free to blackout games if they want, it's just no longer "required" by the FCC.

They probably still will because Goodell gonna Goodell.

I don't think we have a receiver on the roster who would be considered a #1 or #2 option for any other team, Panthers excluded.

*sigh*

Good god.

Abdullah should not have been penalized. Officiating mechanic is not to flag player who goes to ground for religious reasons.

Make sense Brandon Marshall does this all the time

Mike Florio

The next step could be to pursue federal legislation that would eliminate the broadcast antitrust exemption if the NFL doesn’t abandon the blackout practice altogether. If the bill introduced last year becomes law, blackouts immediately will go the way of the dodo bird, the dropkick, and Tom Brady’s talent.

Sorry was on phone, couldn't elaborate further on what I would do... not that it matters, just my opinion.

I think it's time to start a rebuild. The league is based around franchise QBs and you have to build a team around that. The pats lucked into one of the greats in the 6th round, but as most people know very rarely do you get guys like Peyton or Andrew luck, which are sure fire 1st round picks, and even then you have bad breaks (stafford almost busted out with his shoulder, and then of course you have you Sam Bradfords, and worst of all Ryan Leafs who went 2nd, but still same idea). Building a team first IMO is pretty crucial, otherwise you can stunt the growth of a QB or get them injured, this could help explain whatever the hell it was that happened to Sam Bradford. It's also the reason Russell Wilson was able to thrive the way he has, even though I think he has the skillset either way.

By Trading the only guys they have with any real perceived (note perceived, whether you believe it or not), value then we can bring in a stable of picks to start rebuilding the gaping holes on the roster, namely- the Linebacking, D line, and O-line, which IMO are an absolute train wreck, the only players of note worth keeping as starters amongst those groups are Chandler Jones and Hightower. Some of the other guys have upside or could work fine as filler or rotational guys, but for the most part that's all you're getting there.

Recent trades of note

Brandon Marshall from Denver- 2nd round pick, then from Miami- 2nd round pick
Percy Harvin- Similar to Gronk Unbelievable talent ALWAYS injured. 1st and a 7th
Randy Moss from the pats- 3rd
Roy E. Williams- 1st and a 3rd
Carson Palmer- 1st and 2nd
Trent Truck- 1st

The list really goes on. I'm not saying it's a slam dunk, but Gronk does have 3 TD in 4 games this year and is recovering from ACL surgery. Plenty of GMs are stupid enough to give up a high 2nd or just maybe a 1st for Gronk. Same goes for Tom. I'm not thinking about fixing the team now, I'm not sure that can be done in just 1 or 2 years, as I believe that window unfortunately has been shut. I'd love to be proven wrong though.

Im in Pennsylvania. The trees are....not green. I dont understand this sorcery.
It only gets crazier.

No more leaves by Halloween.

And speaking of that penalty last night. Did the ref even know that was a religious thing? All of those penalties for celebration are retarded but I am assuming two things about the penalty. The ref has a thing for ugly chicks and was bummed that Tammy was getting exposed and felt that a flag would make him feel better about it. And secondly that he didn't know it was a religious thing.

Yeah but Brandon Marhsall always goes to his knees on TDs and never gets flagged for it...

Gata, I will smack you if you don't stop talking this bullshit.

I said very early on I'm not doing the thread, not my problem nobody stepped up to do it.

Next thread should be a photoshop contest of all out favorite pats players in the unis if the teams we expect them to be traded to.

Fear of a GAF Planet
Fun fact: When the NFL first started blacking out games, it didn't matter if they sold out or not, they were all blacked out in the local market. Because of that, only two teams have never been blacked out.
