NFL 2014 Week 4 |OT| Hell is Empty and All The Devils Are Here

Incredibly Naive
I don't think so.

I think for the first time in a long time, all three teams (Dolphins, Bills, and Jets) have what it takes to win at least 1 game each against the Pats. Pats coast to division titles because they're 4-2, 5-1, and 6-0 in the division every year.

I'll agree with this, have been saying it to my friends since week 1. I think the jets D line is exactly what the pats can't handle, and I think anybody can throw/run on this defense the way it's playing. The dolphins have a solid team that already proved once they can stomp the pats, and I can't say much for the bills haven't watched much. All that being said, outside of the dolphins, the other 2 are still bottom feeders, Geno keeps the jets a laugher, and the bills are turning to Kyle Orton. In the past years, that was enough, because the offense was there to cover up flaws, or we could win the majority of the games outside of the division. The chargers, broncs, and Bengals are coming up soon and if things to make a massive turn around, I think this team, which has never experienced a lot of losses will collapse.

Wherever the Panthers' elite D is hiding.

Sadly we can't play the Bucs every week :(

Brett Keisel gets sack, goes down to a knee, shoots faux bow & arrow into sky, then clasps hands in thanks to Artemis Goddess of the Hunt.

Realistically speaking, Miami is the only team with any chance to unseat the Pats in the AFC East. Maybe the Jets if they get over their Geno Smith fetish, but even then, their lack of offensive weapons and garbage secondary would hold them back.

I can't believe I went this long without adblocker. NFL.com thinks Gruden may return to Oakland
He still has a few more years left on his espn contract. If fans think gruden will fix all their problems well :jnc that's about as sad as Dallas still holding out hope Jimmy Johnson finds his way back to Dallas leads the team to another back to back sb win

Man, just reading around some sports articles and it seems like everybody is buying into the Aaron Rodgers "RELAX" stuff. I really want to see the Packers turn things around but that Bears game was the exact type of game I didn't want to see happen, because it will make people think things are better than they actually are.

Packer's defense is still horrible. The only reason GB had a lead going into the half was because if Chicago's incompetence on the last drive. McCarthy had a few really bonehead play calls that he got bailed out on because of the awful refs. The only reason the defense looked decent in the 2nd half was because Jay Cutler remembered he was Jay Cutler and the Bears apparently forgot Matt Forte existed.

You guys ever have a professor who makes a tight plan for a day but then he takes 3/5 of the class going over a test because he keeps rambing on and on?

Gronk doesn't look the same anymore. Those double coverage schemes he's getting don't help but still. That line is really bad as well, might be worse than the Dolphins line. I knew this day would come. Oh they'll still go 9-7 or 10-6 with some luck, but that pats team is mediocre, just like the rest of the AFC East. Come on in Gata, the water is perfect!

The class I'm in right now(business psychology) has a professor that just goes off on tangents constantly. Tough understanding what's actually important in what he says.

That's some shit colored glasses. The Bears were gifted a touchdown on their first drive. Without that they score 10 total points. Yeah the defense gave up a ton of yards but adjusted for time of possession it wasn't anything hateful (330 total with TOP adjustment).

Look the Packers aren't a great team or even probably a good team. They will get controlled by any team with a really strong front 7. Thankfully, there aren't many of those and one of them is the Lions and lol fucking Lions. Their first three games were just horrendous matchups for the Packers. They can probably beat the Lions at home but I doubt they have any prayer against SF or Seattle...but that's about it. They'll do fine against pretty much any other team, or at least be competitive.

They aren't awful, but they have significant flaws.

You know the dolphins will choke this year.

Hell, they already did it after beating the Patriots!

Yeah that's what I was saying a few posts up. The bills are Kyle Ortons team now and the Jets have Geno, despite that unbelievable D-line, that's sanchez bad. The Dolphins look like they could be solid if tannehill could ever get his head right, which I don't think he's a guy you can count on, but with how bad the pats are could do enough to win at 9-7. It reminds me of the year the seahawks got in at 7-9, I could see it playing out similar in the AFC east.

Those double teams look completely unnecessary right now, just absolutely blanketed, but it doesn't matter anyways who else do they need to cover really? That's why I think they should flip Gronk while he's still valuable.

After last night, I'm glad we play the AFC East this year. We should be able to pad our schedule and get a few wins maybe.

That division looks abysmal right now. The best team in that division just benched their QB.

Trade Gronk?

What would you even get to help the team out now?

in this nfl? anything could happen, but im thinking long term. the guys body just can't hold up in the nfl. eventually you have remove the bubble wrap on the guy otherside Whats the point? he's young in age, but his list of injuries is staggering.

Gronk needs to be a patriot for life. He will be a huge weapon for whoever the next QB is.

3 targets last night.

Huge weapon bro!

Speaking of I told you so, the two Pats fans that eviscerated me for suggesting that Dobson is awful. That's two weeks in a row that he was a healthy scratch. Guy is a bum and another wasted draft pick.

yikes, hate to be the bearer of bad news here, but go look up the shelf life of the average tight end, then put that together with gronks frail body. how many times can he be expected to recover from potential career threatening injuries? Its like trying on rg3... there's a reason gronk fell to the 2nd since his back is a potential disaster.

My brain on Sunday tells me the Saints are bottom twenty percent of the league, cause I just don't believe Dallas is anything more than mediocre.

But my heart still believes.

I wonder how soon some of Patriot fan brothers are going to start squickening. Just don't believe that fanbase has staying power.

He scored once a real QB got into the game.

Hopefully no NFL GM trade partners notice these things!

This is kind of the issue in my opinion. The flawed parts of the team, for the last few years, always seem to play just good enough not warrant a major overhaul regarding that aspect of the team. I guess my issue is just that the flaws I'm seeing are flaws that have been around for a few years and still have yet to be addressed.

Free agent pool always sucks and Ted has missed on the front 7. Not rocket science, also not terribly easy to fix.

No disagreements there, honestly. There's a part of me that still thinks Capers is the epicenter of the defensive issues. I think Green Bay's defense is legit talented but they kind of seem to keep making basic mistakes that I feel are reflections of the coaching.
