NFL 2015 Week 11 |OT| - A Fraud‘s Time

captive

Joe Six-Pack: posting for the common man
Brady was not good last week, and he did indeed see ghosts in the pocket. In this game the oline is playing like dogshit. Brady is hanging tough for the most part, and decided to throw a lob to a guy who was just activated off the practice squad. How would you categorize his game so far after that?

Edit:pats in perfect position to once again take time off the clock and possibly kick a field goal ass well. That throw and decision was beyond stupid at a critical moment of the game.
is this one of those situations like when eznark tries to convince people aaron Rodgers played like shit when he was 18/25 for 350 yards and 3 TDs? Cause its not working.

Good fucking lord, why?

If you're that close to a first push that shit up the middle or QB sneak it.

Why do you go outside there?

I thought Chung sucked?

Chung does suck, but has been better since coming back to NE than he was a couple years ago. I think he's pretty solid when you have other safeties and CBs that can get him out of coverage so he can make plays like that. But once you need him in coverage he's almost always 5 yards late on every play. Occasionally he'll make a big blow up pass defense that any capable closing DB would have been routine.

Still pissed about that stupid INT. No reason to throw that ball... could have added 3 more... Just don't get it.

I actually do think it's the wind. Stiff wind that's affecting deep balls, punts, and the two deep FGs that spiralled.

Don't think he is confident in his deep accuracy anymore. He been changing the angle on his deep throws more often this year. Hes missed a bunch of guys by overthrowing and now he's trying to overcompensate. His accuracy on the deep ball is most likely gone. Although, strangely enough he seems to still have enough velocity to throw deep. Just can't put it where he wants to. Of course this is all on first watches so it could be another case of confirmation bias on my part.

He's always called out play he perceives to be poor or suboptimal fwiw.

It wouldn't have mattered. NT already beat the center. They hadn't had much success all day going up the middle and I doubt they would've gotten it there either.

Seems every Pats game of note is a levee game - a team with a good defense hangs around for a few quarters before the levees break and the Pats start piling on points.

Right, this is certainly one of those games. Hughes crushed Brady, just hand the ball off, this game is over, Tyrod can't hit shit.

Patriots are very good at second half adjustments in almost every game this season. They can struggle in the first half then make adjustments and get a good couple drives together.

The levee hasn't broken in this game though.

He's been better at coverage since he has come back. Not great mind you just not as horrible as he once was. He's an in the box safety, and when you can use him that way he's terrific. Belichick didn't use him correctly when he was here and he even admitted to this a while back. Now that they are using him like they should the results are much much better. He's going to get beat in coverage, but overall he has been damn good.

He's streaky. Has some good games and bad ones. Like Arrington was

He's actually been pretty consistent. He's just a limited player. When you can play him in the box he's terrific. His coverage skills have clearly improved since his first stint with the Pats. He's limited in coverage, but he's been terrific.
