A real man amongst boys.

Yes, because some arbitrary cutoff of 60% completion percentage is the defining attribute of an MVP. Not the 40 total touchdowns or being the most important aspect of an undefeated team and the architect of the #1 scoring offense in the league. No, without the 1.3% additional completion percentage points, there is no way Cam Newton can be the MVP of the league!

Try to be a little less salty, you'll enjoy life better that way.

You should probably take your own advice.

Cam Newton
3402Y 58.7% 7.7YPA 33TD 10INT <-pass
119A 580Y 7TD <-rush

Tom Brady

32A 55Y 3TD

Carson Palmer
4277Y 64.3% 8.8YPA 32TD 9INT
25A 24Y 1TD

Russell Wilson
3538Y 68.5% 8.5YPA 29TD 7INT

Saints' opponent QB

Oh I'm fine. My team's undefeated and quarterbacked by the MVP of the league.

I'm legitimately curious as to why completion percentage is supposedly the be all end all attribute of an MVP candidate.

If you already crowned him with a BK crown then what do you care everyone else thinks

For me, it is the stat that would make me really pump the brakes on bringing in Sean Payton. He's the guy picking the players and coaches. Loomis is just the cap guy

I was glad that game was on primetime last night. I think Brees kinda got robbed from being in the conversation with Brady and Manning b/c he never had the same defenses they did. This year, he is basically going up against a historically great QB every week
The Super Bowl year they were #3 in the league in +/- takeaways. Little below average defense, aside. The following year they were in the top ten for both points and yards given up. In 2013, they had the top 5 in both yards and points.

Since Brees and Payton has got there, they've made the playoffs when their defense is either in the upper half in points/yards or when their defense is a takeaway machine (2009).

That's a racetrack that has to be demolished one way or the other. Picture makes it look like a lot of work has been done, when really nothing has

Maybe I as a Dolphins fan am a little biased towards Cam getting the MVP because TED FUCKING GINN JR.

TDs this year: 10
TDs in three seasons with the Dolphins: 5

Because I love watching the hoops people jump through to justify being wrong.

Also, it's a message board. Kind of the point.

Fair enough but the whole shtick the Panthers fans have taken this year has proved increasingly amusing "no respect", "why arent they talking about us" "us against the world ma and this isnt even exclusive to this forum.

Wilson? Go fuck yourself.
Needs one yard in the SB and can't get it?

Pretends to be a virgin and sells snake oil to dummies without even being a doctor which makes him a fraud.

Losing and pretending to be a virgin makes him a bitch.

That's logic bro. I am sorry if it offends you.

Ted Ginn Career TDs:

In 30 games with CAR: 15
In 104 games with MIA/SF/ARI: 6

Seems to be another check in the box for Cam, honestly. Elevating the play of the players around you is something actual, no joke elite QBs do. See: anybody after they left the Patriots/Colts during their respective captain's reign.

Plus he's 30, not exactly the peak of a WRs prime!

It's just nuts what Cam has done. When Benjamin went down everyone was in agreement --- Panthers offense has no shot. They will suck. And yet here we are with the Panthers being 1st in points per game. How? A number of reasons for sure, but none even compare to the glaringly obvious answer; Cam Newton's development.

Reggie had a career year with Luck, but that's about it.

But that is pretty inconsistent performance. The Pats are top 10 in points against every year that Brady was there except 2002 (lost in division round), 2005 (missed playoffs) 2011 (lost Owl). Peyton's Colts' defenses were not as good but then Peyton was always better

Stop caring about football and watch the new fire emblem trailer.

Aside from Cam Jordan, not many of their top draft picks defensively have panned out.

Sedrick Ellis, Malcolm Jenkins, Patrick Robinson, Akiem Hicks (3rd, but he was their first choice), Kenny Vaccaro

The '06 draft was really good, but they haven't hit on many draft choices in the mid-late rounds. You had Carl Nicks one year, and Jimmy Graham another, but other than those two? Nothing much. That's what's hurt them.

It's hard to argue with this logic. Skimming through it looks fantastic but honestly I don't want to see any more footage, I just need the game to release already! I wanted the version that comes with all three but it sold out so fast. I'm not sure what the best option is now.

Speaking of the real MVP

To me, that stat just underlines the fact that the Eagles should have completely run away with the division this year. People thought it was going to be down to the wire between them and Dallas again. Romo going out effectively killed Dallas' chances, what was the Eagles excuse this year? I mean even if they make it into the playoffs they are a worse team than they were last year. You can't call it anything other than a very disappointing season given their potential.

Really not looking forward to this week vs AZ. I'd feel better if the Offense was atleast decent.... They are still a ways off from that.

We will lose by atleast 17
