Hate that the offense still looks anemic.

Loving our defense though. They're playing with so much confidence at the moment.

Detroit can't protect well enough to throw deep, and Peyton doesn't have the arm to throw deep. It's like they are both trying to play offense in a phone booth

How do you have Calvin Johnson/Golden Tate and your offense sucks?

1. 1st round pick tight end who can't block
2. Right tackle who can't block
3. No running game
4. Quarterback's accuracy is suspect at best
5. Consistent pressure giving the quarterback little time and forcing happy feet
6. Calvin Johnson ain't what he used to be

To bet fair to point 1.) we didn't draft Eric Ebron to block. We drafted him to be a receiving threat like Jimmy Graham or Vernon Davis. We're really missing Pettigrew as a blocker on the edge.

If we wanted a receiving threat, we should have drafted an actual receiver then. Blocking is part of a tight end's responsibilities, that versatility at a high level is why so few tight ends are selected in the first round. Two of them are on our team, injured or no.

I hated the Ebron pick when it was made and I will continue to hate it probably until he's off the team. There are so many other, better, more sensible directions we could have gone with that resource.

Yeah. Except unlike Smith, it's not psychological. With Peyton the mind is willing, but the flesh is broken and bruised.

Sad, because there's footage of Smith throwing bombs. He's just so trigger shy, even in situations where he has no choice but to chuck it deep. He'll still scamper for three yards and out of bounds.

This is going to be the recipe for every broncos win isn't it? Slowly go down the field and rely on the defense to get turnovers and suffocate the other offense.
