wtf? are you serious with that call?
Thought I'd be the only one. If a DB chucks the receiver to the ground within 5 yards its all good. Collinsworth defending this garbage. Homeboy is just a PFF shill at this point, garbage.

Edit Charles Clay wrecked a Pats DB in the same exact way, no PI.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage

He said rule is within 1 yard of LOS. Is that true? I thought it was a weak call.

Why do we have Joique Bell as our RB check down option on a 3rd and 11 instead of Ameer or Theo? Playcalling is infuriating.

If I had to guess I'd say they probably wanted him in for blocking as much as anything, given that they were going to need to throw.

That said, it feels at times like the Lions just seem to design their play-calls around nameless positions rather than actually thinking about the players they have and what they are or aren't good at.

Ok Lions. 1 high safety, everyone else near the LOS. Don't hold, don't jam, once a receiver gets 30 yards downfield, just let him keep running! Profit!

how is that not an offensive pass interference on that play? the broncos guy was blocking 3 yards downfield before the ball was ever released.

i hate that the broncos can get away with this shit just because their QB can't throw the ball over 5 yards

Peyton Manning teams have done this as far as I can remember watching football.

I didn't see the Ebron play, but my understanding is that all contact goes for both offensive and defensive guys within 5 yards of the LOS.

I have a feeling everyone will be mediocre this year and the Patriots go 16-0.

That better not get overturned, that was a good catch.

But these refs have been out to get Denver all night, so of course it will be overturned.

My guess is he is the most reliable pass blocker , since he is the one who seems to be in there on third downs

He didn't even stay for the block just went straight to a flat route. I understand keeping him in for blocking but the playcall from the get go had the RB going flat route.
