We throw around the joke about exposing teams as frauds a lot but this is actually one of the closest examples to that actually happening.

People thought that Green Bay had a good defense because they played shitty offense teams. People expected them to also have a great offense because they have the best QB in the league on their side.

Patriots O is set up to negate a large part of what makes the Den D. special.

Best bet is to avoid that juggernaut, and hope that someone more balanced like the Bengals knocks them out.

lol you're going to run with this phony act all the way into the playoffs aren't you?

Just tuned in.

GB, why?
Offensive line played really, really bad. Either they are awful, or good at pretending. Secondary played almost as bad. Ditto.

The first problem is the most worrying. People complain about injuries, but we're mostly healthy up front. Not a good sign.

Uhh, who?
Anyone that has seen this team play in the last 4 years knows nothing has changed. They play up, they play down, but their median is garbage tier with the hope of winning the turnover battle.
The only victory for the Packers tonight is Clay not being seriously injured from that ankle roll.
And Rodgers didn't die on the field.

They have a shot at having a legit defense this year. But it all depends on getting the back end sorted out, and it's ugly right now.

The o-line is the really worrying problem, though

No QB is prepared for pressure up the middle. Unfortunately for Denver, the Pats o-line is not as bad as the Pack's.

But they should still be able to wreak some havoc.

Pats OL is more injured then the Packs as far as I know.

The thing is, that the OL doesn't matter as much with the Pats. Those little picks an rubs, slants, quick crossing routes, and dump offs and forced mismatches with Gronk are hard to defend. The ball gets out so fast, that it negates the pass rush as well as the power of the secondary being able to consistently cover.

It's not going to be easy.

I think if you actually watch football you would know it could've gone this way

never been great against line pressure, offense hasn't been clicking for weeks, injured defense stuck on the field

Our WRs need to do something to get open......i feel like even when Rodgers had time he couldnt throw it anywhere.

Im still also pissed not one god damn screen pass, fuck off with the play calling.

He's not wrong. The Pats focus on quick, short passes. That can negate even a great pass rush. Even though their OL is inexperienced, they are not bad. Brady has shown blitzing him is almost always a bad idea. The better bet would be to rush less (especially since Ware and Miller can almost put people on a swivel all on their own) and play zone, but having seen Wade-led defenses against Brady before the results have not been very good...

We'll see. The game is not in Lambeau, which might bode well for the Broncos this time around.

The Steelers fired LeBeau and promoted an assistant. It's worked wonders. Might want to send a memo to McCarthy, y'all.

I don't see it happening this year. At season's end I expect them to be graded out in the 20-32 spot. That doesn't mean the team can't succeed with that, but I don't think they're a 'good' defense.

Defensive Bright Spots: DT Raji, SS Burnett, OLB Perry are all returning form injury, probably not in the best playing condition for Denver. Rookie CBs gain some much needed experience playing against someone like Peyton. The D Line plays well for the most part.

Defensive Dark Hole: Hayward isn't a very good cover corner and doesn't seem to be turning the corner. The depth behind Matthews at ILB is passable so far; they look small and get pushed around. Terrible coverage in the middle of the field.
