The bold has to be sarcasm but a win is a win so thank you for the complement I guess.

Can someone explain to me why the media is ignoring the Denver Broncos defense? I'm convinced this a covert attempt to make the Broncos play beyond their potential and have the one of the best defensive performances in the past six years. Pressure is on Peyton for what is his final game according to sources.

I just want a good game that comes down to the final minute. None of this Seahawks Super Bowl victory shit where the game is over by halftime. I say this with all due respect to the gawd Russell "bout that Jesus" Wilson.

It's actually not, and that's on The Detroit Lions.

I really don't think the pressure is on Peyton. One way or another Peyton's legacy on the game is established.

He's already won a Super Bowl, he's broken season records at a consistent basis for 10+ years with the Colts. He got the shit kicked out of him by Seattle two SB's ago but despite that he is one of the greatest QB's ever to play the game.

He's not what he used to be at 39 years old obviously but I think he's smart enough to not fuck up and call audibles that the opposing defense knows he's going to run like he did against Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas and that Seattle defense from SB 48.

The pressure is all on Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. Everyone expects them to win.

But Cam hasn't faced a Linebacking duo like the one he's about to face with Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware combined with the overall talent the Broncos have on the defensive line and the secondary.

Cam has balled out all year but I really want to see him run that run-option on Von Miller and Ware. I don't think that shit is going to fly against the Broncos defense and he'll be forced to pass the ball. He can throw the ball but he's also prone to INTs like we saw against the Cardinals. I think he's playing against a much better team than the Cardinals.

It's easy to type this, but the Broncos have to establish a semblance of a run game, Peyton needs to control the football and the Broncos D will get a turnover or two. It'll be interesting to see how the Panthers react to those inevitable turnovers which will happen whether through fumbling or INTs.

Just took the Bing Rewards quiz on the Super Bowl.

Second question was bullshit since it asked who was the only NFC Wild Card team to win the Super Bowl when both the Giants and Packers did it and both were among the multiple choice answers.

Last question was which of the following teams has never won the Super Bowl?
Answer was the Browns.

I know this will be confusing, but follow me on this one:

If a flag is thrown for offsides, and then a turnover + returned for a Defensive TD happens, the play should be reviewed to see if the offsides is legitimate or not since it's a scoring play.

I don't think I've seen that but I don't they can go back and pick up the flag. It's probably one of those ahhh well the ref saw offside guess he was wrong. Whoooops. Sorry not sorry.

I think all flags should be able to be challenged using a coach's challenge imo. A bad flag can be potentially worse than a bad call by the ref.

You know every single DPI is going to be challenged right? And on top of that they are going to be people who disagree even with slow mo replay.

Here is an idea:
I get that Hawaii is nice and stuff - but why not play the Pro Bowl in Central Europe?
It´d help the NFL´s work expanding the audience, as people would get the chance to see all their favorite players. Attendance would be huge, and a lot of merchandise sold.

Why fix the pro bowl? What's the goal? The only reason it exists is because it gets ratings, so the NFL has no big incentive to "fix" it. There is nothing you can do to a football all start game to make it interesting.

Please correct me if I´m wrong - but I remember Godell giving the ProBowl a "two minute warning", because ratings drop over the years, and less and less players want to attend.

A skill competition wouldn't hurt

They've tried skills competitions. I'm guessing players are even less interested in participating in those.

That was in 2011. Four years later it' still the same shit. There isn't a fix. It's a bad product.

I agree. But my argument is, that this "bad product" might actually appeal to other people, especially those in Central Europe.
And in the end the NFL wants to sell stuff, and that´s where the biggest opportunity lies.

Not sure you'll have better luck getting players to go to Slovakia than you do to Hawaii. And production costs are likely significantly higher, at least initially.

And attendance is a pittance compared to ratings. What time would they have to play the game live in Poland or Hungary to make it prime time in the US?

Let´s say they play in Berlin (or Frankfurt for old times sake). That´d be a 6 hour time difference to the east coast. Have it in prime time in Europe, would be a normal kickoff time for the US.

And for the players: I remember reading a report, that player salaries closely correlate to shirts sold of said players. Thats also why so many players closely watch their fantasy performance. And doing a hands-on event, where fans actually get the chance of their idols signing those shirts would make good business.

I think you have your causation backwards there.

Playing the game in Germany (is that considered Central Europe? I would've guessed Western) won't help TV ratings and that's really all that matters.

When told he is being called the LeBron of quarterbacks, he smiled and said: “Why can’t LeBron be called the Cam Newton of power forwards?”

Cam wants to lose this Super Bowl, get traded to the Broncos to finally win one, and then go back to Atlanta to become a perennial loser :(

You want the ratings because they mean ad money. But the ratings seem not recoverable at all - so why not go for other revenue sources?

Because the return for the league isn't there. Playing in London might make sense, since they seem to have the logistics worked out for that. Just buy a train ticket!

It could be London as well - all I´m proposing is moving it from Hawaii to Europe.
(But Germany would still be nice, I mean the NFL wants to expand, right?)

They should replace it with a skills competition. Throw in some the Sports Science stuff, like who can exert the most force on a tackle dummy, stuff like that. An All-Star football game with no stakes whatsoever will never be good. I want to see Ted Ginn, Martavis Bryant, and TY Hilton run a 40!

I'm guessing established players aren't interested in potentially hurting their market value by participating in another combine.
