NFL cheerleaders continued their impressive courtroom winning streak against NFL franchises, as the New York Jets agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit filed by their spirit squad in 2014. The settlement, covering the 2012-13 and 2013-14 NFL seasons, will pay the 52 cheerleaders included in the lawsuit $2,500 per season they worked plus another $400 for each photo shoot they did, totaling $324,000 in all.
As detailed in the New York Post, the Jets cheerleaders alleged in the lawsuit that they were paid only $150 per game and nothing for practice. They also had to pay for their own makeup, hair care and transportation.
