In many states, it is safer to shoot the theif dead in your house than it is to shoot them to injure. The robber can sue you in this country if you shoot to injure. I am mostly talking about the "make my day law," in Colorado. I am 100.8 % sure it exists in Texas too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_doctrine

for Louisiana

(4)(a) When committed by a person lawfully inside a dwelling, a place of business, or a motor vehicle as defined in R.S. 32:1(40), against a person who is attempting to make an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, or who has made an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, and the person committing the homicide reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the entry or to compel the intruder to leave the premises or motor vehicle.

The shooting took place in a public roadway outside of the vehicle.

Even in a stand your ground case there isn't complete immunity from the person defending themselves.

For example if I live in a rural neighborhood and I incapacitate somebody robbing my house and phone the police it doesn't allow me to then shoot him in the head or slice his achilles tendon with a knife while waiting for the police to come.

Besides from what we know about the story is McKnight was trying to deescalate the situation and even if you throw out all of the witness testimony if McKnight was indeed shot in a position other than him being a threat to the shooter it still isn't covered under the law.

Hasn't Flacco been worse this season than usual? Kind of typical considering his injury last year. Don't worry, soon he'll be back in the "is he elite or not?" conversation.

He's as shitty as usual and it's been that way for a few seasons now. And people, particularly in Baltimore, like to defend that Flacco contract still, but here's his numbers since he signed:

Code:
Year Age Pos G QBrec Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD TD% Int Int% Lng Y/A AY/A Y/C Y/G Rate QBR
2013 28 QB 16 8-8-0 362 614 59.0 3912 19 3.1 22 3.6 74 6.4 5.4 10.8 244.5 73.1 46.23
2014 29 QB 16 10-6-0 344 554 62.1 3986 27 4.9 12 2.2 80 7.2 7.2 11.6 249.1 91.0 67.02
2015 30 QB 10 3-7-0 266 413 64.4 2791 14 3.4 12 2.9 50 6.8 6.1 10.5 279.1 83.1 40.86
2016 31 QB 11 6-5-0 285 450 63.3 2877 11 2.4 10 2.2 95 6.4 5.9 10.1 261.5 80.4 57.1

Are there even Flacco defenders left here, or have all the other Ravens fans bailed?

This offense is bad, like

Offensive TDs per game: 1.5 (30th - tied for last place with Rams and Texans)

Offensive points per game (estimated): 18.2 (26th)
Red Zone scoring attempts per game: 2.4 (31st)
Red Zone TD %: 50% (24th)
Overall: Yards/Game: 334.2 (23rd) Yards/play: 5.0 (29th)
1st downs/Game: 19.0 (24th)
3rd down conversion %: 33.3% (32nd)
4th down conversion %: 38.46% (26th)
Rushing Yard/attempt: 3.6 (29th)
Passing yards/attempt: 6.0 (30th)

At the start of the season, the Dolphins had one of the five youngest rosters in the NFL.

A total of 42 of 53 players (79 percent) on the roster now are 28 or younger.

There are 23 Dolphins aged 24 or younger.

If the Dolphins don't fuck this up they can develop some of that into a solid talented team.

But of course they'll probably fuck it up.

I'm not trying to defend Flacco but he was a big part of the SB win and I think the defense is picking up some of the slack which is very Ravens-like. Still a Harbaugh team through and through and to me that's a more proven formula than a first year coach in Miami.

You guys are definitely garbage but I still feel like the Steelers will find a way to fuck up and lose 2 more games and the Ravens will win the division and somehow beat a far superior team in the wild card.

This is a garbage year and I could see the Ravens being the chosen team to fuck shit up and make everyone miserable that a garbage team could advance far in the playoffs.

If I'm being totally honest, do I have that 2012 vibe where it was very apparent this was an average team, but they just kept winning and somehow we won the Superbowl (reason: Flacco played the best he's ever played).

The talk around Baltimore is that this team is somehow like 2000, with a top D and a terrible offense. It's not. I'm old and I remember watching that 2000 team very well. It was something special.

How many yards did Ray Rice get on that 4th down dump off just to make the playoffs?

I feel like it was something insane like 4th and 20 and Flacco threw a 4 yard pass and then Rice made a few dozen tacklers miss and got the first down by himself.

Truthfully no one outside of Dallas is any good and even they have some flaws. I really feel that someone putrid is going to win it all this year. I am hoping for that to be my team, but we are just too good at finding ways to lose and we also have zero discipline so it won't be us unfortunately. :(

AFCS is still way worse than NFCN now that Green Bay got it back.

Wut, GB lost to us and Luck didn't even play well outside of like 2 drives lol.

They got blown out by TENN, they belong in the division this year. Trash. Color them white and blue, and they are the Colts with a slightly more talented defense.

We are totally doing it,
It's happening! Nothing bad can happen!

Deshaun Watson drawing RG3 comparisons..

I know who we're drafting..

We did it friend.

Are you believing TDR?

I'm believing in our 🐬
Hopefully Watson is so bad on Saturday he plummets out of the top 10 QB prospect list.

But honestly I think Watson has a shot at being a decent NFL QB. I don't see him becoming a top tier talent that can prop up a bad team but if you put him in a good situation the potential is there.

Am I believing... Hmm...

I going to say something positive about the Panthers for once.

Worley and Bradberry have secretly turned into a decently solid pair of corners.

Neither of them is Norman, and both still make rookie mistakes, but you can definitely see both of them being contributors in the future now.
