Somewhere, somehow Osweiler will fuck it all up this week.

I think the point of the D-league would be to replace college programs. You're talking about recruiting from high school or freshman/sophomore programs first, then filling in with people coming out of college who don't yet have the necessary skills or weren't given the chance to show them off. What college player wouldn't rather play for a D-league where they can get paid? NFL would eat NCAAs lunch.

Ah alright that makes more sense. Yeah, if there were a D league I doubt the NCAA would survive long. The top tier talent would much rather make some money, and it's a good bet that most teams would be looking to the D-League first for talent over college. Plus it could force the NCAA's hand on paying student athletes.

I'm not sure the Steelers win this week. Right now, the team needs Ben to play well to have a chance. But,
1. He's sucked major ass on the road the last few years
2. He sucks major ass coming off of injury and
3. He sucks major ass in Baltimore

I though Howie drafted Huff? Didn't Chip just run the Algholor draft?

Our playoff probability drops off 8.8% if we lose to the Browns... That's some bad juju right there.

Biggest game in world history. If Cleveland can't go 8-8 then every major religion/philosophy has been wrong

Huff was an Oregon product, so it was likely Chip's pick even if he wasn't GM at the time, just like a lot of the early guys came from Oregon.

Associate with Oregon brehs.

Manziel was originally an Oregon commit. There were some other kids from Texas as well and I remember reading a alot of them saying they didn't know anything about Oregon other than they like the uniforms

Makes sense. I was legitimately asking b/c I was never sure who had what power until the last year where Chip made his power play

If I remember correctly, the rumors at the time were that Chip wanted to draft Huff in the second round and Howie had to convince him to take Matthews there and that Huff would still be available in the 3rd.

They'd be a better team, which is really all that matters. Teams would have to respect the passing game quite a bit more with Romo.

I feel pretty confident that romo would not have comeback against the eagles with the pressure they were generating. Nor would he have remained cool down 14-0 on the road in SF.

I feel pretty confident Romo would not have been down against the Eagles in the first place. Let's say the Eagles did the smart thing and kicked the FG to put the game away. Cowboys lose, did Dak have a good game on Sunday? Because save for those last 10 minutes, he really looked like a rookie out there. Romo would've torn that secondary apart.

I never took Romo for the sort of guy who easily got rattled or lost confidence. He could have gotten injured, but he would have been way better against the Eagles than Prescott. WAY better.

Ben's probably not going to play anyways. Landry Legend will pile up Madden numbers against the Ravens.

Agree to disagree I guess, but Dak was horrible most of the game Sunday. He is the reason the Cowboys were down in the 4th. I'm not sure how one watches that game Sunday and comes away impressed. Go back to Romo and let Dak learn on the bench.

No he certainly did not. Nor did he have a good game in green bay. But his two worst games as a rookie pale in comparison to Romo's worst games.

Romo can remain cool in a close games late, but going down early is often the cause of his multi turnover games. Such as 2014 season opener against SF.

Pep,

I am probably wishy washy on this at best. I also feel like Romo's injuries will and have prevented him from standing in the pocket properly/patiently. I do not anticipate an offensive blossoming when he gets back in the lineup but I also understand that Dak is not there yet fully.

I mean, you're comparing a decade long career to 7 games against mostly average to below average defenses.

Darian Thompson is in a boot again and will visit with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Tuesday. He will not play Sunday vs. Eagles.

I could have made that same comparison only looking at romo's last two years.

It's not like you need a secondary against our WRs
Thompson was a huge help in lining up the defense on the back end when he was active. It's not just his coverage ability that we'll miss but his brain that's a boost for the defense.

Nat Berhe still hasn't been cleared from the concussion protocol either so the safety situation remains the same since pre-bye.

Thompson also allows Collins to roam/go to the LOS more, where he has been lethal.

Cliff Avril named NFC defensive player of the month. Well deserved, he's been a beast. And we've needed it with Bennett out.
