Larry Webster, eh? Brief readup says that he's pretty new to playing football and needs to bulk up a bit, but has some potential. Sounds kind of like a poor man's Ziggy Ansah in a way.

Between Ansah, Webster, and last year's fourth-rounder Devin Taylor, we'll find out really quick how well this coaching staff can teach proper line technique. We could end up with a collection of total beasts rushing the QB, or a bunch of easily-blocked busts.

Agreed. I'm cautiously optimistic. Taylor showed a lot of potential last year, and Webster sounds like he's pretty fast and athletic. We'll see.

Going back to the CB pick...just seems like a guy who won't be on the team in a couple years. As I said yesterday, the Lions' draft behavior suggests they aren't worried about the secondary at all, but their comments suggest otherwise. I just don't get it. The team wants to win now, and we know CBs often take a year or two to develop. Reaching for them in later rounds just piles up projects. Trading down to get Dennard in the first round would have made a lot of damn sense.

I really wonder about what sort of evaluations they've been putting on cornerbacks in the draft for the last few years. I know folks have been banging the drum to get d-back help in the first round for a few years. If you want to take their word on it that nobody was interested in trading up to 10 (even though it felt like they hardly gave anybody time to offer a trade if they wanted to--I believe they were focused on Ebron once they lost the Watkins sweepstakes), then it's possible that anybody after Gilbert, Fuller, and Dennard all fell into the relative same slew of "shrug" corners, which we kind of have already. By that point we might as well go with the "throw spaghetti against the wall" approach, and to that point we already had four or five corners to give a try to, this just adds another to the mix.

Either way, it's not like Cornerback or safety is going to be a big strength for us this year, so it will depend on how well the linebacking group can cover the middle and how well the front line can rush QBs regardless. It will also depend on the offense limiting stupid turnovers and actually scoring points to fluster opposing offenses into making mistakes.

Texans added Savage.

They won't all work out, but I'm good with the areas the Texans addressed.

Savage can send Yates packing.

A.J. McCarron to Bengals!!! Woot!

McCarron said last month that he expected to go as high as the 16th pick and no lower than the 35th pick

He goes 164. Lol. Game Manager.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that McCarron, who quarterbacked Alabama to a pair of national titles, rubbed teams “the wrong way” when he met with them heading into the draft. It’s not the first time that we’ve heard things along these lines about McCarron.

A.J apparently rubbed many wrong. Arrogant and thought he was probably better than others.

Are you excited to see him or his girlfriend come to Cincinnati?
The correct answer for anyone is obviously the beautiful and talented goddess Mrs. Katherine Webb.

....a 5'11" wide receiver? Uh okay. It sounds like he's pretty similar to Ryan Broyles' strengths, but without the horrible knee injuries. Feels a little pointless but alright then.

Kinda like what I've read of Ryan Grant. Hopefully he can slide in eventually as a solid 3/4 receiver behind DeSean and Garcon. Not sure what the point of Seastrunk was with the depth we already have at RB. Would have liked to see them try and get some help on the back end of the front 7.

Slot receiver. I'm guessing this will be Broyles last year with the Lions, and perhaps last year in the league.
