We save quite a bit of cap room both this year and next with his release, but we have arguably no secondary now outside of Berry. Unless we pick someone up to replace him, we're basically throwing in the towel this year.

The Detroit Lions have moved on from cornerback Chris Houston.
His contract has been terminated. As a vested veteran, Houston is not subject to waivers.
Chris Houston underwent a significant medical procedure this spring, the Lions said in a statement. Both parties felt that the best course of action at this time is to release Chris and allow him to rehabilitate his injury away from the Club. The Lions appreciate Chris' contributions over the years and wish him the best in his recovery.
The seven-year veteran, whos been a starter in the Lions secondary the last four seasons after the team traded for him before the 2010 season, has been out all offseason after undergoing toe surgery.
He signed a five-year, $25-million contract with the Lions last spring, but is coming off one of the worst seasons of his career. He missed four games because of toe and foot injuries, but struggled even before the injuries started to plague him.
The 29-year-old had 44 tackles and two interceptions in 12 games last season.
Any time you take that many injuries, the entire team is going to be impacted negatively. Flowers was still a pro-bowl caliber CB who had a down year last year from battling injuries. If you thought our secondary was bad last year, it will be much worse this year with him gone.I thought your DBs got exposed pretty bad in the latter part of the year as the front 7 took injuries. Not sure if losing Flowers is too big a hit
Wow... Grab him, Miami!
lolI'll get the check book!
The Netherlands can't possess the ball at all.
That's a weak call. Spain is so good at taking dives.
People talk shit about basketball for whining and diving, but soccer is truly ruled by that shit. It's a shame to see such a cool sport have games ruined by that crap.
Dat goal line tech for every goal. What?
"Not sure we needed that"Dat goal line tech for every goal. What?
The Brady Rules. He learned them from Gisele. If only Brady didn't abandon his pregnant girlfriend for a Brazilian super model. Its a European thing.
