Crazy rumor going round that NE is after Moss like the Saints and Niners. Dunno how that's supposed to work out, but he can't be worse than Ocho at this point.

Moss to New England 2012!

He preformed pretty good when he was still with the Pats before he got traded to The Vikes for saying stupid things.

If he really is in the shape they're talking about I would welcome him back with open arms.

Also, goodbye Ocho! It has been a blast!

I haven't kept up with the Saints/Raiders part of the story outside of them being penalized for 2010 "cap violations"...explain?

I dunno the deal with the Saints, but basically cutting JaWalrus lead them to get this penalty. Teams were free whomever in 2010 without much impact because it was an uncapped season, so big contracts were dumped. The Cowboys and Redskin were signing players with huge payday signings. Miles Austin was paid $17 million his first year of his extension in 2010. As for the Redskins, beats me their entire roster sucks.

I doubt we can afford Lofton. Damn

With the restructuring of the contracts, especially Megatron (as Wedge said), I think we'll be ok. There are so many ways to work around the cap, plus we got a bonus 1.6 mil from our NFC East bros. Its possible and Detroit could be appealing to him based on the teams ascension last year. And if Sanchez can get a 40 million extension, we can find a way to make room!!

Please come to Detroit Curtis!

I hate you Tennessee Titans. I hate you so hard right now.

Edit - And if you get Manning, I demand you give us Jake Locker in compensation for Bud Adams insane interference.

I had promised myself not to get any hopes up for free agency.....

Now I've let the hype train take me.

Bruce Allen (Redskins GM) is saying these salary cap reports are bogus.

http://blog.redskins.com/2012/03/12/statement-on-adjusted-salary-cap-reports/

“The Washington Redskins have received no written documentation from the NFL concerning adjustments to the team salary cap in 2012 as reported in various media outlets. Every contract entered into by the club during the applicable periods complied with the 2010 and 2011 collective bargaining agreements and, in fact, were approved by the NFL commissioner’s office. We look forward to free agency, the draft and the coming football season.”

Forgot about you. Add RyanDG to the list JakNCoke as a Bronco.

I wonder if Manning is even taking Adams seriously at this point.

Texans restructured Andre's contract, supposedly saved them about 4 million in cap space. That's on top of whatever losing Winston adds.

Why the fuck isn't Jacoby gone yet. >:

Yea that would be too good to be true, I refuse to get my hopes up lol. but oh man...

I'm going to find Curtis Lofton's home and start rally outside for him to come to Detroit.

Curtis is a great locker room guy and he does a decent job of getting around blocks, but I can see why we let him loose. He's not worth top tier money as a middle linebacker. He's not terrible in coverage, but you can tell he's a step behind - plus he gives up some height.

At the same time, I'm not thrilled about Lofa. Never been impressed with him, plus he's coming off major injury.

Snyder has no problem suing old ladies and newspapers, he will have a field day with this. There is no way if this ends up in court that the NFL will win.
Yeah the league has no ground to stand on here. The Cowboys released a similar statement.

"The Dallas Cowboys were in compliance with all league salary cap rules during the uncapped year. We look forward to the start of the free agency period where our commitment to improving our team remains unchanged."

Yea, the coverage is my only real concern with him. But (assuming Detroit signs him), the D-line might be able to mask some of that weakness. That would of course mean the D-line has to show up, but its nice to want things

.

Basically. He wants top tier MLB money and he's not a top tier MLB. We have other glaring concerns and just can't afford to tie up alot of money at that position.

Word has it we are trying to free of money to make a run a Mario Williams, but I don't know if I like that. I would rather us make a serious run at Nicks.

Supposedly Chicago is the front runner for Mario. It'd be nice if the Falcons were able to manage to get both him and Nicks though.

Goddamn, this years free agency is going to be absolutely nuts. I do love me some drama and the NFL free agency appears to be delivering that in spades this year.

So I'm not sure what is going on with the Raiders.
At one time they were 20+ million over the cap. Not to mention the overpaying they've done over the years which McKenzie is working to rectify.

Only 176 days till kickoff...I'm torn. I love spring and summer but they lack football so I'm always quietly cheering for late summer and fall.
