Yeah, I remember when GRRM readers used to say Jordans full of shit nobody likes to read (and that's true). But GRRM is number one in having bullshit content that nobody wants to read. Seriously, the one prologue I read had more dwarf porn, who wants to read that garbage.
Although, I must confess I can't imagine to listening to an audio book for Jordan, hhe has plenty of parts where you just want to skip through alll the bullshit and just skim.

I started reading in 1997 thinking at the time how lucky I was that I did not get into the series when it first started. Who would have known that it would have taken so long for the series to finish? I wonder how many fans died before it ended?

Mostly school, both of my classes require an insane amount of reading and papers that are due every week then yesterday I got sick, missed work but was asleep most of the day so now I'm behind on my readings, at work and studying for a test tomorrow :/
Edit: Oh yeah and my sister came to visit which takes up a lot of my time as well.

Could have easily been done in 8 books or less. The first 3 books are his best work. He got lazier which each book.

At least it is really a 5 and 5 series. Should have a really nice conclusion in book 5. Then new characters, with maybe 1 or 2 returns, and a time jump for book 6 and a new plotline.
Also Sanderson is really really fast. He is averaging 2-3 books a year. Right now that rotation is Stormlight Archive, Rithmatist, and Steelheart series.
That's how I felt about ASOIAF when I took the plunge a couple years back. Can't imagine having to wait 10 years or whatever for the next Tyrion chapters and to then get what we got.
Speaking of ASOIAF, just watched like episode 5 or something of this season. That sword through the mouth should be on the cover of every book. It's the perfect image for the gratuitous, meaningless garbage that the series turned into. Just put a set of tits in the background.
