Truthfully I'd pay attention to them as they will be my hometown team but I will always be loyal to the Browns.

I also joke when I say the Bills will come to Toronto. The only way Toronto would ever get a team that we'd actually be loyal to would be if it was an expansion team. There's too many NFL fans here that wouldn't change allegiances because of what the team used to be.

I've eaten bacon off gnarly looking old grills camping, but cooking off shit like that freaks me out. It's like welding galvanized steel, that shit will make you sick.

Who knows what all those things are treated with.

I'm so incompetent, I can't even tell Browns and Bills apart anymore (As evidenced by my above comment).

I blame the Canadians. Stick to your God-given team, dammit.

Never trust a man who let's jaggies stand in the way of bliss!

Sharp knees == jaggies

I like the pick. I thought that the RBs would go a little later, but that's why I don't get paid to do this.

He's got the right size, his speed seems fine, and from what I've seen and read he's a very patient runner. He seems like the perfect guy for short yards and goaline, but seems to be somewhat all-purpose if he can block.

He states how he came back in 2012 with the drive to become a more complete back, and says that he is somewhat comfortable with audibles (from Wilson), realizes the importance of protecting the passer, and can make catches out of the backfield.

I realize now that he really wasn't asked to do much in the Badger's offense outside of running, but the guy says all the right things. I hate to compare him to TD (so many have already because of exact size and speed, even Elway compared him to TD), but the one thing that I loved about TD is that he took pride in his pass protection, so much so that he beat himself up over blown blocks. Ball seems to have that in him as well, and in this offense it is very important, so that puts me at ease about him.

I'm excited about him, and hopefully those roadgraders on the right side will help him be successful.

I think it will be Moreno, Hillman, the two Balls, and Hester.

I think McGahee is going to be released. He's older, expensive, coming off an injury, and was catching fumblitis. Moreno stays on because he's not that expensive, can pass-protect, and catch out of the backfield. Hillman will continue to develop, he's not going anywhere 1 year after drafting him. Lance Ball will stay on due to being a utility depth guy. He plays ST so he's valuable beyond just the RB position.

I think Montee will start slow and work his way into the offense. I'm sure Fox will treat him somewhat like Hillman, unless his pass protection is up to snuff. If he can pass protect right off the bat, I'm sure he will get utilized early and often (more in pass plays than just obvious run downs).

Hester will probably be back, because it seems like Fox likes having a FB.

Oh you!

Appreciated this post a lot. I think I liked McGahee a little more than most and was really bumbed out when he got hurt. Thought he would make a difference in the post season.

He isn't fast or explosive or anything special, but he's shifty. It's one gear, but he can make the first guy miss at the line and get through the hole for a few yards. I think his fumbling issues were temporar, but we'll never know probably.

Broncos are a really balanced team now. No real weaknesses, with the only big question being if SP can competently replace Elvis on the end. If so, opposing QBs are gonna have nightmares of SP and Miller coming from opposite sides, with Sylvester coming up the middle.

NP. I remember you posted the Broncos 'What to watch' for a couple years back. It would be great if all of us regular Broncos guy chipped in a did a section of it. So we all had a little ownership in it.

Besides that, I really liked McGahee too! He has a great attitude, is an incredibly patient and smart runner, and seemingly loves the Broncos (love that he wanted to bring back the Mile High Salute). Even with that said, I don't think it's enough to bring him back. If the money was right, I'm sure they would hang on to him. He's the highest paid guy, and with a stable of backs I think he'll be the first to go. At this point it's all speculation, so he could very well be right back on the team which would be fine with me.

As far as Phillips replacing Doom, I think we will see a rotation on that side. Ayers, Phillips, and Smith (the rookie), rotating through. Ayers will be the run stopper with some ability to get at the QB (I hope he can really step up as a pass rusher), Phillips and Smith as pass rush specialists. It will be interesting to see how Del Rio utilizes everyone, but the scenario of Phillips and Miller coming off the edges and Williams coming up the middle sounds very exciting! Don't sleep on Pot Roast either!

Now off to buy Soul Sacrifice!

Broncos' only weakness is QB.

Here I was thinking you were a good person! Sherman has drawn you to the darkside.

Tebow is a free agent. This is your chance to atone for Elway's sins!

Does anyone know when the Vegas SuperBowl odds are going to be released?

Instead of buying lotto tickets, I'm putting $100 on a Lions Superbowl win (I'll post the ticket or whatever as soon as I put the money down). I was inspired by a friend of mine who put $100 down on the Golden State Warriors for the NBA playoffs when there odds were 1/100. The GSW look like a dark horse candidate and I'm kicking myself in the ass for not putting that money down.

I'm thinking the Lions odds this year are going to be 1/100 or somewhere around there, but as long as Stafford stays healthy and we make the playoffs our offense can outscore anyone in the league, so for that fact alone I'm confident in this team.

Does anyone have any good sources on how to gamble on football games? I got the jist of it but more sources would be appreciated.

Already paid for them this last season. I hate to say it, but it was our fault that we allowed the unibrowed bomber to win a Lombardi. Elway's sins have been atoned, the NY BFBS will now feel the wrath our lost football savior.

As for Tebow, he is basically in the desert fasting for 40 days and nights, like he did so long ago.

Real men buy Wii U's! Not because they want to, because they can!

They've been up for a while now, I think. I remember the director of the MGM sports book coming on the radio here shortly after the Super Bowl.

So I read RG3's entire rant on twitter and then Mike Freeman's ensuing rant. I'm not sure what it is all about, but I happen to think the initial rant had to do with peoples' responses to the "make Dallas home" comment, and when he tweeted regarding political correctness, Mike Freeman took it as a negative comment towards Jason Collins (which, if is the case, I'd be extremely disappointed but unsurprised considering he comes from a military family in Texas).

Or it could be some random clusterfuck and I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Holy shit that team jumps leagues like squickens switches teams

League IPFL (2000–2001)
NIFL (2002–2004)
UIF (2005–2008)
IFL (2009–2012)
CPIFL (2013-present)

Welcome to Omaha pro football. We're lucky enough to see indoor or other teams even stay in the city, let alone stay in the same league.

Shit, even our UFL team is technically still there but in limbo because the UFL ran out of money.

I think with most small teams like that, the leagues they are in are pretty unstable so you have to keep moving.
