Or... have her dye her hair. Just a thought.

which one of you nfl bro's wants to hook me up with an ATT UVerse or Dish credential to watch nfl network legally online? Comcast doesn't let me do it, and my NFL shit with Verizon no longer works. I can offer my allegiance when you say something stupid in this thread, and I'll back you up.

Sapp, Dbrooks have DPOTY and Super Bowl rings.

The Bills players getting put in is just the NFL trying to find a good Bills player not named OJ or Bruce Smith to put in.

Lach will get in just on the fact that he was the heart of a Super Bowl losing defense, with a shit offensive side (See Ray Lewis, but he won twice) plus hes a DPOTY.

Woodson is one of the best corners of all time.
Ed Reed has a DPOTY award, on some of the best defensive teams in recent memory.

Dawk has a long list of guys to get through before he even has a chance.

What a fucking garbage post

Cowboys write up. I could have made it more concise, but I just wanted to get it over with. I also wanted to make sure I posted it before the first preseason game.

Offense: The offense will again be the strength of the team. Last year they were efficient, able to put up a lot points by being great in the red zone. Their problems last year were converting third downs, and maintaining a rushing attack. It seems like these problems stemmed from the fact that Bill Callahan is not really a disciple of the Coryell system. Garrett built his program by drafting players who fit with an attacking style Air Coryell scheme. Callahan not only had trouble making in game adjustments, he struggled with catering to his players strengths. These problems seemed to be remedied by the hiring of Scott Linehan. Linehan, unlike Callahan, has roots in the Coryell system. With the hiring of Linehan, also came a change of philosophy: instead of worrying about what a player can’t do, let’s figure out what he can do. An example, TE Gavin Escobar was rarely used last year because the coaching staff felt he was not a really good blocker. This year, there are reports out of camp that the Cowboys are being creative in how they line up Escobar, playing to his strengths which are his receiving skills. The offense has a lot of talent at the skill positions and on the offensive line. Will Linehan be able to make use of his roster and have a productive offense? Only time will tell.

QB: The main concern when it comes to the QB position for the Dallas Cowboys is the health of Tony Romo. Romo is coming off of a surgery to repair a herniated disc in his lower back. By all accounts from the Cowboys, Romo has been diligent with his rehab and has not suffered any setbacks. The rehab process consists of working out for 2.5 hours, targeting core muscles that support the back. The Cowboys have been disciplined with Romo, limiting him to a certain number of reps every day in hopes of preventing overexertion.

The other quarterbacks for the Dallas Cowboys include Brandon Weeden, Caleb Hanie, and Dustin Vaughan. With Romo being put on a pitch count, in Romo’s place Weeden has been taking first team reps. Weeden will also most likely be Romo’s back up. Traditionally under Garrett, the Cowboys have not really carried more than two quarterbacks on their game day roster. I don’t think the battle between Caleb Hanie and Dustin Vaughan will be of much importance, they were brought in to be camp bodies.

Roster Projection: Tony Romo, Brandon Weeden

RB: Demarco Murray is the starter. He is coming off a pro-bowl season despite missing two games due to injury. Lance Dunbar will be brought in as a change of pace back, he is smaller and quicker than Murray. Dunbar also has flexibility as a receiver out of the back field and in the slot. Behind Dunbar there will be competition between Randle and Williams. Both backs struggled in pass protection, I think the better pass protector wins a roster spot. Given the injury concerns with Murray, the Cowboys may want to add another back to the practice squad. That is where UDFA Ben Malena, a tough player that is good in space, has an opportunity. The Cowboys have a couple of fullbacks in camp. If they decide to have one on the roster it will probably go to Tyler Clutts

Roster Projection: Demarco Murray, Lance Dunbar, Joesph Randle, Tyler Clutts.

WR: Dez Bryant, the number one receiving option, is looking to build off a productive season. Reports out of camp say that Dez is getting more work in the slot, which is something to expect next season. With the departure of Miles Austin, Terrance Williams will be thrust into the number two receiver role. Williams had a strong rookie campaign catching 44 passes for 736 yards and 5 TDs. With the attention both Dez and Witten receive, Williams should have another productive season. The third receiving option is Cole Beasley. Cole Beasley’s small size and quickness makes him a challenge to cover, this was evident last season as he was a great option for converting third downs (on some occasions he would even draw double teams). While Beasley was effective inside on short routes, this offseason he has been working on lining up outside and running deeper routes. I mentioned that Dez is getting more work in the slot, this is in conjunction with Beasley moving outside. If Beasley can be effective outside, it will provide more opportunities for mismatches with Dez in the slot. The fourth receiver on the depth chart will be rookie Devin Street. Street was drafted this year in the 5th round. Street (who the Cowboys graded as a 3rd round talent) is tall, long and a great route runner. It has been said that Street was drafted so the Cowboys can have an option in the slot that is not named Beasley. At Pitt, Street was asked to run a lot of deeper routes from the inside. You can expect similar utilization from the Cowboys. Dwyane Harris rounds out the group of receivers. He is extremely valuable on special teams, both as a returner and in coverage. If the Cowboys were to carry a 6th receiver it would probably be either Laron Byrd, Jamar Newsome, or Dezmon Briscoe. All three of these receivers have had a strong showing in camp so far, so much so that even if these guys don’t make the Cowboys 53, they will make someone’s 53.

Roster Projection: Dez Bryant, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasley, Devin Street, Dwayne Harris.

TE: Jason Witten is entering his 12th season, and it looks like he will still be a large part of the Cowboys offense. Gavin Escobar will assume the number two TE role. He had a quiet season last year, partly because the Cowboys did not trust his blocking ability. Escobar has appeared to bulk up and gotten stronger to address those concerns. With the addition of coaches Mike Pope and Scott Linehan, there is expectation that Escobar’s pass catching ability will be better utilized with word out of camp saying that Escobar has been lining up in the slot in many formations. James Hanna is the TE behind Escobar. While he possesses great speed (4.41 40 yard dash), the Cowboys have yet to use him consistently, and it seems that trend will continue.

Roster Projection: Jason Witten, Gavin Escobar, James Hanna.

OL: Arguably Dallas’ strongest unit. Doug Free will man RT, he had a resurgent year after taking a pay cut, his improved play could also be attributed to better guard play right next to him. RG will be 1st round pick Zack Martin. The coaches feel Martin is the type of player they can plug in day one and be successful. Travis Frederick will man center. Last year, Frederick was an amazing run blocker, but needs to improve on his pass blocking: an area he has been working on. LG is up for competition between Ron Leary, Mackenzy Bernadeau, and maybe Uche Nwaneri. Leary has been sidelined by a hamstring injury, so Bernadeau has been taking first team reps. It seems that the Cowboys hope Leary wins out, simply because Bernadeau has flexibility at center and at guard, and having him as a backup would allow the Cowboys to take one less offensive lineman on game day. All pro LT Tyron Smith will protect Romo’s blindside. Reports out of camp suggest that Tyron is simply dominating opposing ends. Look for Smith to have another great year. Although the starting unit of the Cowboys is really strong, there are some questions about the backups. Tackles Jermey Parnell and Darrion Weems have had a poor showing at camp, both are still expected to make the roster. Uche Nwanari has been playing well in camp, still don’t know if he can beat out both Leary and Bernadeau. The Cowboys have brought in the couple of young guys, undrafted rookies Brian Clarke and Ronald Patrick, they also brought in former Raider John Wetzel. All three of these guys had their moments in camp, one of these players could possibly make a push for that final roster spot.

Roster Projection: Tyron Smith, Mackenzy Bernadeau, Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, Doug Free, Ronald Leary, Jermey Parnell, Darrion Weems, Uche Nwaneri

Defense: Last year, the Cowboys fielded what was probably the worst defense in franchise history. They set records for the amount of yards they gave up. This resulted in the demotion of DC Monte Kiffin, and the promotion of DL coach Rod Marinelli (who is a disciple of Kiffin, and shares similar defensive philosophies). The Cowboys also decided to move on from Demarcus Ware and not resign Jason Hatcher. Oh, and Sean Lee injured his ACL and is out for the season. While it was probably smart not to resign Hatcher, and not over pay for an aging Ware, the injury to Sean Lee is a big blow. Unlike Kiffin, Marinelli won’t force his players into coverages that they are not suited to play. Something else of note: there is more emphasis on teaching from the Cowboys coaching staff, probably because the talent level is not very high, and the players cannot get away with poor technique. If the defense has one thing going for it, it is its youth.

DL: Starting with SDE, George Selvie and Tyrone Crawford will battle this out. Crawford who is coming back from an Achilles injury, is bigger and stronger than Selvie and likely the better run defender. Selvie is the better pass rusher. Anthony Spencer is also in the mix at SDE, but he will likely start the season on PUP. Behind Selvie will be 7th round draft pick Ben Gardner. Gardner is versatile enough to play several positions along the line, but is probably best suited at end.

1 Tech: The Cowboys brought in a couple players in the offseason to play 1 tech. Terrell McClain, is one of those players. He is another versatile player who can play both tackle spots. His versatility and superior athleticism should give him the edge over incumbent Nick Hayden. Amobi Okoye is the other player the Cowboys brought via free agency, he is suffering from an undisclosed illness and will probably start the season on NFI. Behind McClain, Hayden, and Okoye, there is Ken Bishop, who can be described as a cheaper and younger version of Nick Hayden.

3 Tech: Henry Melton was the defenses biggest acquisition in free agency. Coming off ACL surgery, he will be reuniting with Marinelli in hopes of returning to pro-bowl form. When healthy, Melton is an elite 3 technique, who can be quite disruptive against the pass and the run. Behind Melton is camp standout Davon Coleman. Coleman is strong and quick and while versatile is better suited to playing 3 tech. Behind Coleman is Ben Bass. Bass was injured last year, has versatility to play both tackle spots and SDE. If Bass can stay healthy, his versatility may land him a roster spot.

WDE: Jermey Mincey was brought in via free agency and will likely start at RDE. Behind Mincey is 2nd round draft pick DeMarcus Lawrence. Dallas traded up to get Lawrence because they felt he was the only end left that could play RDE in Marinelli’s scheme. Apparently the plan was to bring Lawrence along slowly until he can assume a starter role. Unfortunately, Lawrence suffered an injury in training camp and will be out for 2-3 months. After Lawrence is Martez Wilson. Wilson who is making the transition from LB to DE, is extremely fast and quick, but lacks size and strength.

The Cowboys are hoping for contributions from multiple linemen across several positions to make up for the production that you would normally get from players like Ware and Hatcher.

Roster Projection: George Selvie, Terrell McCalin, Henry Melton, Jermey Mincey, Tyron Crawford, Ben Gardner, Davon Coleman, Ken Bishop, Martez Wilson, Demarcus Lawrence, Anthony Spencer (PUP).

LB: The loss of Sean Lee was a huge blow to this positional group. Battling for MLB will be Justin Durant, Devonte Holloman, Anthony Hitchens, and recently acquired Rolando McClain. Durant is the favorite to the win the MLB spot, he is a good run defender but struggles in pass coverage. If Rolando McClain has a strong showing in camp and in the pre-season, I would expect him to beat out Durant. WLB belongs to Bruce Carter. He struggled mightily last year, and was probably going to be replaced if the Cowboys had their way and drafted Shazier. Hopes are that Carter rebounds this year with Marinelli simplifying his responsibilities. The SLB will be Kyle Wilber. Wilber has been one of the standouts this camp, he recently transitioned from 3-4 OLB, to 4-3 end, to now 4-3 strong side backer. Because of his past experience rushing the passer and the injuries to some WDEs, the Cowboys have been experimenting with having Wilber rush the passer on passing downs with some success.

Roster Projection: Justin Durant, Kyle Wilber, Bruce Carter, Devonte Holloman, Anthony Hitchens, Rolando McClain, Will Smith.

CB: As it stands now, your starting corners are Brandon Carr and Orlando Scandrick. Scandrick is the Cowboys best slot corner, so hopes are Claiborne has a strong camp so that the Cowboys can feel comfortable playing him outside. Sterling Moore and Terrance Mitchell will probably be the next two corners on the depth chart. Mitchell seems to be a 7th round gem for the Cowboys. Mitchell is a physical corner that displays good quickness. Only knock on Mitchell is his top end speed.

Marinelli has talked about using coverages that play to his corners strengths, which is a deviation from how Kiffin used his corners. Hopefully this change helps improve what was one of the worst pass defenses last year.

Roster Projection: Brandon Carr, Orlando Scandrick, Morris Claiborne, Sterling Moore, Terrance Mitchell

S: Starting safeties are Barry Church and J.J. Wilcox. Behind Wilcox will probably be Jeff Heath, Jakar Hamilton and maybe Ahmad Dixon. Wilcox is hoping to improve after a poor season last year. I don’t know what else to write. Jakar Hamilton has had a good showing at camp. Um…I just want this write up to be over. Ahmad Dixon was drafted in the 7th round this year, I think he makes the squad.

Roster Projection: Barry Church, J.J. Wilcox, Jeff Heath, Jakar Hamilton, Ahmad Dixon.

Specialists:
Kicker: Dan Bailey. Bailey was money last year.
Snapper: L.P. Ladouceur. Doesn’t look like this will change.
Punter: Chris Jones. Jones did not have a great season last year, but I doubt anyone in camp will be him out.

Very smart of Ray Farmer and #Browns to claim Bowie off waivers, even if injured.
He's injured but Browns claimed Michael Bowie off waivers from Seattle. Apparently he started 8 games last season for the team?
