Man now I want some good boudin. Throw it on the grill a few minutes and place a piece on a hot baguette ......

Now we're talking. Only thing that was missing at the corner store I got it from was cracklins. Love working in this area, always good boudin.

Man I really can't wait for this season. Lots of young talent mixed with veterans on the Pats defense. Will be really interesting to see if any of the corners they drafted can play or if either of the DTs can play. Easley flashed a bit before he got hurt last year. So I'm hoping he can stay healthy. I think even with Revis gone if some of these young guys play well the defense won't be as bad as seasons past. The front seven on paper seems to be improved. The situation up the middle is still an unknown. I hope both DTs work out. If they do the front seven will be very nice, and can cover some of the deficiencies at corner. Really can't wait to see another season of Collins and Hightower. They were so much fun to watch last season because you could see the improvement from game to game. Can't believe he was playing with an injury like that and no one knew about it in the media. Still amazing to watch the one arm tackle by Hightower in the super bowl. Just insane he was able to do that. Lots of really cool new pieces on defense. So at least the defense will be interesting to watch this season.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic, but I think Scott Chandler is going to have a damn fine season for the Pats. I'm thinking something like 800 yards with 5 or 6 touchdowns. Would be perfect if he could do something like that.Reading some Bills forums it seems like he doesn't have the most reliable hands though. So that may be a big problem. Lafell is another guy I'm really excited for. He had a really awesome first year with the Pats. Getting destroyed by Kansas City really changed season around. That's the game Brady started to trust him. I have high expectations for him this season. Amendola is the surprise for me. He went from one of the most hated Patriots to one of the most beloved after his playoff run. If he is anything close to that then the Pats will have three legit wide receivers. Really can't wait to see who is going to be running the ball, and watching how Chandler fits in with the offense. Any word on Evan Mathis? It looks like the Pats really like the young guard they took in this years draft. If they could snatch Mathis the line would be damn solid for the first time in a while. I really want the Pats to snatch him, but it seems highly unlikely. Although, his price is probably way down from what he wanted so who knows.

What happens if there's no Vince at the nose? No problem, Louis Nix III can fill the nose in just fine. This depth is going to be great.

There is no way Chandler is getting 800 yards unless Gronk is out for the year. I doubt they are going back to the murderer and gronk 2 TE set offense predominately because Chandler isnt that vetsatile. He will definitely get some easy TD's courtesy of Gronk in the redzone though.

Ravens being poopy to Schoob

Per ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, veteran Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has made Schaub his whipping boy during practice.

Following a Schaub pass that misfired out of bounds, Suggs yelled “Everything up until the throw looked really good.”

Later in the same practice, Schaub threw a touchdown pass. Suggs then went up to safety Will Hill, who was beat on the play, and said “A broken clock is right twice a day.”

Last week, Suggs, in a not-so-subtle reference to Schaub’s struggles during his final season in Houston, told the QB “your guys are the guys in purple.”

Gotta stop god damn Andrew Luck. I wish they still had Trent Truck. Would never have to stack the box.

I have said it here before: even though the narrative about the Texans is "th3y haz no QB!!11!! lol" O brien is building this team how it needs to be built. Basically almost copying the Seattle model. Smash mouth, tough as nails defense and a ball running, time control offense that will take an occasional shot.

Does Wilfork excite me? yes but not entirely for his playmaking ability. He is a temporary stop gap ( 2 years at best). He was brought in to teach his position to Nix and Covington and at the same time mentor Watt on how to be the leader this defense has sorely lacked.

On what planet do the Texans have the same talent as Seattle? Copying a teams style without the personelle to do it adds up to a whole lot of nothing.

Hookah is pointless, college kids do it because they are cool and misunderstood.
Whenever I have gone to a hookah bar it was because the girl I was with wanted to. Hookah is eh but the food was usually on point and at least one time I saw a belly dancer.

Better than bowling but isn't saying much.

Luck is 1-0 against Seattle!

You guys should be copying the Patriots model!

I was never one for bars. And if I did go on that rare occasion it would be to play pool. Much rather get friends together and drink at my place.

Also, hookahs are fucking stupid.

Eh, this was at a bar just west of downtown in Houston and the crowd was your typical 25-45 age range types that go out and drink.

Yeah, I'm not sure how it blew up again, my friend would hype them so much and then I finally went, and I never saw the appeal. The last time I went to one was about two years ago I believe. I made out with some girl.

I miss Spinwhore :(

They had hookah bars back when young single Bionic was around? Here I was thinking they were just getting popular in the states. Things must go way back!

Your team could run the ball prior to BOB.

You do know Seattle runs the ZBS in its own form?

Yes and we ran ZBS quite a bit last year because of the personnel available. O'Brien wants to run more of a power type game. Hence the release of Chris Myers at center. When they did not run a ZBS scheme last year Myers just got manhandled due to his size. Myers is the prototypical ZBS center: great at leverage but almost always has help due to the ZBS.

As for the defense I loved Wade when he arrived. He turned what was historically bad to a feared defense in basically less than a year. Then he got dinked and dunked to death by Brady and the secret was out: he doesn't run much zone at all.

This is just my opinion not an attack on Kubiak or Wade.

Anyone else gonna be doin some NFL betting this upcoming season?

Of course. For the past few years I've put in $100 at the beginning of the season on Sportsbook, and make bets with that throughout the season. I use $50-60 of it on season long bets (team over/under, SB odds, SB matchup odds, etc.) and the remainder for teasers and stuff week to week. If I get down to 0, then I'm done for the season, whenever that happens. Usually always end up having some left over to roll into the next season's bets.

Nobody said it was, just a strange comparison to Seattle considering they're quite a bit different than Houston as it's currently constructed.

I said "basically". the concept of building your defense up and getting a decent to good QB who can run a control the ball offense.

Sometimes everyone here just gets so literal
