Wanted him so bad. Steelers could have a pretty mean 4-3 under front with Hargrave, Dupree, and Shazier.

Too damn funny. Howie traded away all those picks and now Wentz is hurt. He's hurt from running around b/c they have no decent depth on the OL and no WRs besides Matthews. Issues that could have been alleviated had they used those picks on OLs and WRs. Not to mention Howie extended Lane Johnson, who is going to miss 10 games

YH is right (as usual). Every day is just another day closer to no Howie for Eagles fans

He's not going to play this year anyway. You see what you have this year and then sure up the OL and WR core next season when Wentz is ready to step in.

He';s not going to get reps and he's going to miss live game action. This is a huge loss for his development. Also, he's played half of a game and can't stay healthy. Worse than Bradford

He will be out the 2nd and 3rd game. The games you play your starters and 2nd stringers the most. He should be back for game 4 when he'll get the most PT. So he's missing out on a quarter or so of football and miss a couple weeks practice. If that's the difference between him not being ready in 2017 or not then we're in big trouble.

It has been crazy reading the eagles message board this offseason praise Howie when he has done such a terrible job. Last year the eagles wrs were terrible so this off season Howie grabs 2 nobodies off the scrap heap. It makes no sense at all.

Sucks about Wentz but it feels like they are treating him with kid gloves a bit. No reason for him to miss practice because of a hairline fracture. I don't know what the recovery time is for so minor an injury.

So just went through Dolphins game....some nice plays by McCain, Grant, Pead, Fede. Tunsil did pretty good, they didn't even call his name. The Oline is still a mess, Alonso missed two tackles, Lippett got beat a few times and he's supposed to be our starter next to Maxwell until Howard takes over :/. The RBs were surprisingly strong with Thomas (feels weird typing this) having a nice game along with Pead, that should make an interesting battle for 3rd RB. Doughty made some nice throws and Grant is so fast that they need to find a way to use him in the games outside of kick/punt returner. Matt Moore is awful and I just laugh when people still want Tannehill benched for Moore. Since it's the first preseason game though it's hard to care about any of that except that the obvious flaws we had last year are still showing in a preseason game.

a 15 yard penalty against the seahawks on the very first play of the game is the best way to start a new football season

I was reading a profile of this guy who was trying to get into the league b/c he thought he could improve the success rate of 1st round picks. When he asked Belichick what was the hardest thing to figure out about perspective players, Belichick said is was the desire to "buy in".

To me, I always thought that Clowney was an obvious and avoidable error. He was never going to be a guy who put football over everything else

I defended until now. People on twitter using the same defense for him they used for Manziel. I am stunned. Fuck him
