I'm not even worried about the loss, I need to know what the fuck happened to Steve Smith. If he's gone for the season, our season just went down the shitter.

God damn it, I hope he's alright.

Fibula injuries take from 8 to 12 weeks to heal. It's what Vick snapped last year, and he missed 11 games.

usually depends on the position as well. a lineman with that same injury is almost always out for the season, ala shawn andrews for the eagles. thier heavy set bodies cant heal as much and if they come back early they risk re inury due to how they play. a player like smith could be back by week 10 or 11 but it will be difficult if it is what they say it is.

Alexander might miss the game with tampa but otherwise he got an x-ray and has a bruised bone in his knee or something and is expected to be fully healed in a couple weeks.

bad news for carolina. maybe they will get back to being a run-oriented team now?
They should in the first place. Granted, Jake is a really good QB and they have some suprisingly good WRs (well, just one now) but when they use Stephen Davis and Deshaun Foster more they win more games.

Our O-Line is complete and utter ass. We need to replace one of this "-insinskizisas" and call Kevin Donalley and get him out of retirement on out there.

Panthers are gonna replace Steve Smith with the rookie Keary Colbert. This could be his time to shine.

That throwing stick stunt of yours has boomeranged on us.
I was reading an article on Coughlin this morning in the Post, he's one nazi of a coach. Fining players for not showing up early enough to meetings... fining players for showing up late to a meeting after being in a car accident (in Jacksonville).

Definitely pulling for the redskins next week.

I think that's what McNabb went down with in that game against Arizona. Never fully recovered that year, even in the playoffs.

Man, without Smith...this season just isn't going to be the same. I'm definately not as pumped anymore as I was before the week began.

Original Forecast Record for Carolina (by me): 12-4
New Forcast Record: 8-8

:(

Bears>>>>Panthers.

Ahman Green for fuckin' MVP!

...I'm cautiously optomistic about our chances this season if AG plays like this all 16 weeks. But we'll see how things pan out in Indy.

Ahman Green better worry about Chicago first. We are going to rectify all our mistakes from week one, go into Lambeau and get a victory against the Packers!

Even with Smith's injury, the Panthers will win more games than the Bears.

Which isn't a huge feat or anything.
