Five seasons in the NFL and one good one. studly

I agree with Spectral (I wasn't hating on the guy I just didn't want to look him up) that Holmes is a good #2. Probably a great #2 in the right situation. He isn't in the right situation and even the best WR is useless without everything else falling into place.
The problem with Holmes is that because Ben made him a hero in the 2008 playoffs and Superbowl he is going to get #1 money. And that is going to be a lot of money for a guy who is really just an amazing possession and YAC guy.

With that said I definitely miss having him on the team. He would have been the perfect replacement for Hines and a perfect complement to Wallace. :(

Mike Pettine is our defensive coordinator.
And if you think that allowing 45 points is the norm - especially when we beat you this year as well already - then you're crazy. Pats won, you guys had a fantastic game, and Jets D/O/special teams shit the bed. The established AFC superpower schooled the up-and-comer. Cool - you kicked our ass, no doubt. Yesterday was an anomaly, as it has been for 2 years with Rex and Pettine's defense. Yesterday, you were absolutely the better team.

If/when we make the playoffs, you won't beat us again - promise.

So you don't think Rex designs your defenses? If you say so...anyway..I'll take that as some type of joke of sorts. Jets aren't the Yankees but your team sure runs their mouth like they are. The score in yesterdays game was an anomaly and that's about it considering Belichick hasn't lost to the same team twice in a season in about a decade. That's no fluke. Granted t nothing is locked up by any stretch. Let's just say I don't think a team that pulled games out of their ass against the Broncos, Texans, Lions and Texans is as good as people think they are. That's 4 games that easily could have went either way that the Jets pulled off which is good. None of those game should have come down to that though.

I'm amused at the Pats hate and Jets fans making excuses blaming coordinators and shit. Rex is your D coordinator and you got 45 dropped on you and I see tons of blame on the O coordinator :lol I can deal with Steelers Ravens Indy and San Diego talking shit all year because they have track records of being good or great the last decade. Motherfucking Jets put all their eggs in one basket and act like they were running shit in the AFC east. Get in were you fit it in. Your team is getting worse going forward not better. Have you seen your free agents list? If you don't get it done this year your looking up at the Pats for another 3-4 years. Deal with it.

No he isn't, he gave up play calling duties to Pettine this year. The "excuses" are not for our D playing poorly but come on now man. Everyone knew coming into this game that the Jets had to put points on the board, it is what you have to do to win a football game. :lol

Thoughts before the game where that the Jets had to put up 24 to 31 points to win this game, with those points would have come ball control, resting the D and overall moral boost. Those points never happened, our D got fucked earlier in the game by two horrible punts, one of only 38 yards and then the other of only 12 yards! Give Brady a short field and he will burn you, everyone knows that. Then they get fucked late by turnovers by the offense, yes they couldn't tackle anyone this game and the use of motion by the Pats really exposed their coverages but their are two sides of the ball. The Jets didn't show up on either end but one hasn't been showing up for sometime now...that is why there are callings to fire Shotty...they have been going on for years now.

Pats are simply a better team.

During the pre-game I was stunned to hear some of the logic that a couple of the commentators used when picking the Jets.

Saying "the Jets were the better team". Anyone who's watched the Jets last 3 or 4 games has seen the steady decline in the quality of their wins. Narrowly averting disaster. Winning games they had no business winning. Their record is really something of a fallacy in and of itself, as it suggested they've been playing much better than they actually have been lately. Jets need to do some soul-searching, because they're not playing well enough to be elite NFL teams right now and haven't been for a few weeks. Time to figure out what the problem is is running out fast.

This a billion times. They weren't beating two and three win teams in a convincing fashion, it was mutiple miracle plays. They have a few tests coming up. They play Chicago and Pitt. right?
